Anyone thinking of travelling to jerez, may find the following usefull:most flights leave from stanstead, the track is 7.2 miles from the airport and a taxi to the track costs 12 euros. If you want to camp small farm type areas are available next to the track entrance,on a first come first served basis, only open to bikes or on foot. There is no running water and nothing is available to eat or drink until friday ,dont expect any sleep for 3 days as the spanish know how to party!this trip is seriously not for the faint hearted! we stayed at local hostels on the days leading up to thursday for about 25 euros a night. If you decide to drive to the track,it is mission impossible, tales of 4 hours and abandoned cars were commonplace. The good news is the viewing is fantastic, the weather is great, trackside facilitys are good and the travelling is really quite straight foward.I know this info is after the event but I am thinking of anybody who wants to go next year.My advice is ,if your prepared to rough it a bit, give it a go! p.s. the whole package flight ,tickets ,spending money ect £400 but i am tight!
