Pete! Stop posting in this thread!! for the rest of the world Jerez was last week, we are up to Estoril outside of the Dorkneys!!

Estoril? That's about as far sooth as Aus mate nowhere near us in the north pole!

Fenati is like a new Casey Stoner ATM.

Too Italian for that.
<

He won the Italian 125 champs last year and the 2011 European round of the (Spanish) CEV Buckler 125/Moto3 champs.

Stoner may well have bent Lorenzo already: +10 points in two Spanish GPs. It can hardly become easier for Lorenzo from now on.

Being from Italy, I thought you might have known the difference between Estoril and Jerez...
<

An easy mistake to make.. they are both short, swarthy, latin types with a penchant for fortified wine, pork, cheese, seafood and women with moustaches...

Portuguese are just Spaniards without the common sense to get in out of the cold...

Hold on, I'm 5'11" and have never been with a woman with a muostache

You have a point! But only politically. Geographically, both Jerez and Estoril are in the Spanish or Iberic peninsula; and both are considered 'home races' by Lorenzo and Pedro and most Spanish riders, that's why

You are obviously the product of an adventurous Viking
<

Go ask your mother...

(kidding, honest - I don't know your mother... I'm sure she doesn't know any Vikings...)

Spain is a country, not a peninsula... Iberia doesn't exist any more. You didn't say 'home' races, you said 'Spanish' races.

Sorry fella, you're wrong. Spin it however you like.

Mine was just a slip of the pen, but when you say that "Iberia doesn't exist any more", you are shooting yourself in the foot. Iberia has always been the geographical name for that peninsula, which comprises the sovereign states of Spain, Portugal and Andorra (and the British territory of Gibraltar). Iberia, let me inform you, is still very much in existence... Unless there was a colossal tsunami last night.. which I should have felt, since I live in the Italian peninsula (that comprises the sovereign states of Italy, San Marino, and The Vatican)
<

Your both wrong. IBERIA, without the word "peninsula" behind it, is a .... ... airline with lazy employees, and unfortunately it does exist.
<

enough with the technicalities!!

You are, of course, correct... what I meant to say was the country/nation/people known as Iberia... a Greek/Roman term for the southwestern European peninsula.

Which brings me to another fascinating geographical fact I just became aware of - the location of the Atlantic Archipelago... having lived in it for decades, I had never heard the name mentioned. It seems I have spent the majority of my life living in one archipelago or another because now I live in the Malay Archipelago, previously the New Zealand Archipelago - in fact, other than the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, I have lived on 4 of the worlds five largest... and didn't even know if.

Schools out - beer o'clock.
