TT claims it first 2008 victim (non race related)

Hardly surprising. I don't think i've seen anything as scarilly irresponsible, thoughtless and downright ........ as the general riding standards on the island in TT week last year.

It's a 40 mile course, you're never going to find a 'live' feed, especially of time trials.

What's wrong with McGuiness this year?

Is the Padgets bike really a pile of ....?

Well in one race he has retired from 2nd place, not a disaster yet.

Is there a reason he left HM Plant?

Or did they pull out of the TT?

Honda officially quit, thats why Hutchinson is on Yamaha and John on Padgets. The bike is apparently pretty much factory (as is Martin's) and well prepared, but i'd like to know if the mechanical problems on Saturday were related.

Isn't Guy on a Hydrex? I would have thought the machines would differ if that was the case.

Tuxworth overseas the whole lot and i believe the parts and kit will be fundamentally the same but it will be built and setup by a different group, some minor parts will be manufactured in house so will probably differ.

I know this deviates from the topic, but does this mean Ellison runs the same spec bike as HM plant in BSB? Or is this TT specific?

Mystery to me, i know that last year Bikeanimal were getting factory equipment and support supperior to that of the Stobart team and even Ten Kate, so approximately HM plant level. This year however we know HRC have reduced their support of the HM plant team, but i would speculate that the teams remain roughly equal in specification. I'll see who i can ask next time i'm in the BSB paddock, but it looks like that wont be till september!!

I wait for the day BSB comes to my local circuit, I could show Haslam a thing or two.

+1 Anyone who gets banned from BSB for slamming a laptop on Higg's fingers is O.K. in my (mac)book!

This sport needs more characters like Guy!!!

BTW did anyone see Milky Quail on BBC News 24, or it may have been Sky. Obviously they couldn't wait to show the crash, but the feature revolved around the consultancy he now gives to new riders around the course. I must admit, you'd preferentialy opt for a briefing off McGuiness if you could afford it, but at least Rich is Manx through and through! good luck to him!

Did you see him on that TT segment on Sky News? He really loves his racing.
