If he goes to MotoGP next year would he be any good? or are standards ground:sky with bsb and motogp?

Come on BARRY im sure you know something about BSB.

British Superbike Championship 2009 STANDINGS

P Name Bike Pts
1 L. Camier Airwaves Yamaha 299.5
2 J. Ellison Airwaves Yamaha 224
3 S. Easton Hydrex Honda 173
4 G. Richards HM Plant Honda 103

Camier imo no hes not ready for MotoGp he wont get a good ride and hes not got to that level yet to be a good/Competitive Motogp rider

Edit

if anything if theres any good moto2 rides you could look at Crutchlow/Laverty

How did he do with his wildcard ride at Donington when WSBk came through? You have your answer there.

Well, he did ok but was no where near Spies on a similar bike and a 100 times the track knowledge.Im not sure he is on the GP map at the moment

I've been watching BSB all year, Camier has been picking up poles all year and winning nearly all the races. He's definitely the dominant rider in the series. On top of that he seems like a pleasant mild mannered chap. At Donington WSBK, where he wild carded, he picked up 13th in race 1 and 6th in race 2. As far as a shot at MotoGP, I would say not at this point, but I would love to see him in WSBK. I think he could do well in WSBK, definite top 10. And I'd say there is a good chance that is where he will be next year.

I don't see anyone in a domestic series ready for MotoGP at the moment. I'm not sure I see anyone in a domestic series that could eventually wind up in MotoGP in five years time. I don't know that many will argue with me, certainly with my first point. He had his opportunity on the world stage for the year and he didn't light the world on fire. He didn't disappoint but he proved that he's certainly not the type of talent ready to head to the pinnacle of the sport. Ask a silly question, get a silly answer.

Uhh it is MOTOGP we are talking about here. To answer your question, BSB talent is no where near MOTOGP IMO. If you think so state your claims.

Besides, it was two races

I was just curious as to your motivation behind the question. Do you think that Camier is MOTOGP worthy and why? What is your opinion?

I watch AMA and it's not close to MOTOGP. It's racing.

Now if you asked if Mat Mladin was MOTOGP worthy, I would say yes.

Well that would spoil my point of saying "who is Carmier", cos I would have found out. Then I would have found out what a BSB was, which geting to my main point ........ is probably well known to British fans, but otherwise draws blank stares from just about all others, the reason for this is ........ there have been no great BSB riders to come out of BSB in recent years ....... Carmier is probably no different

Here's a name to watch for in MGP ........ Glen Scott

I'm still of the belief that Shakey Byrne is a great rider. Jonathan Rea is still very young and the results are starting to come good for him. Cal Crutchlow is dominating WSS in a a manner that's never been seen before, on a Yamaha no less. Eugene Laverty is close behind Crutchlow and if it wasn't for his unbelievable season, Laverty would be leading the championship in a relatively strong field consisting of proven winners and tomorrow's stars.

Leon Camier will never be in Moto Gp, he is however a good solid rider, but not at GP Level. Sorry.
