Interesting Read: Rookies, TC, 800s, fuel

So no-one thinks a fuel change would help? Ethanol fuel can sustain far higher compression ratios as the octane is 129RON. Yes, you need to carry 4 to 5 liters more fuel but the extra power would be worth it. This way you could push the limit of the engines higher than the previous 990.

I don't think it would eiter help nor hinder, as it is probably the next "big step" in rule changes however I am sure they will make it a change that is not major but does push toward what areas need to be developed in engine technologies.

So they will either match cuurent energy usage or just better it ( in favour of efficiency that is ).

I thought there were some interesting comments about the use of TC. As well as comparison of the 800s to a "super 250". And the proposal that the fuel limit has been the most challenging aspect of the changes.

Your thoughts.

what a load of old eye wash.

stoner was 10+ seconds ahead by the halfway point of most of his race wins last year.

the ducati was simply better than the Honda and Yamaha for the the first season i can remember.

this season the power has shifted back to Yamaha and Honda but its not as big a gap a couple years ago.

Yamaha and Honda are really close... no thanks to Honda having taken a back seat due to their indifferent factory riders.
