<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>It has never been in ducati's interests, commercial and otherwise, to have 3 ducatis at the back of the field.
Even if the other ducatis are more competitive next year it still doesn't mean the sport doesn't need to address the tc etc issue. Ezy is apparently now blaming the manufacturers for the dud formula; I am inclined to think he has a case.
When a GSXR1000 with Spies sitting on it is capable (on FP1 times Laguna) running fourth or on fp2 running 7th there is something wrong with the manufacturers
It's amazing, millions or dollars, engineers, and ostensibly the best riders and they can barely beat a production (homogolation) series.
F1 would die in a second if a touring car could lap 1 or 2 seconds behind it.
More power to Ducati for being able to RACE
Racing does have as its ultimate goal WINNING. I am honestly sick of this best and fairest award mentality running through the paddock and fan base at the moment. The best and fairest award was the award (in Rugby – will confuse Americans) we gave to gimpy kids who were never going to really cut it and score many points anyway.
So we want to lower the bar so the "best and fairest" can win and we will have a competition for gimps. This has become the overriding philosophy of motogp and it is so sad, listening to people asking for the bikes to be slowed because their rider isn’t going so well.
For motogp speed is life
