Inmotec GPI 10

Don't know if it's been mentioned somewhere else, but it's news for me.

A new private team/manufacturer Inmotec is developing a prototype 800cc full bike (self made engine) hoping to participate in the 2010 season.

The company has been working on the project for the 3 years(!!!) and the first prototype is already on the track. The team is based in Pamplona (Spain) and is led by Oscar Gorría. Some well known names figure in the team, Nicolas Reyner (ex Team Roberts chassis designer & Motocysc) and George Vuckmanovich (track engineer with Spencer, Mamola, Biaggi ..)

The prototype has been tested by Ivan Silva (currently racing Spanish Formula Extreme series) with the Inmotec team (Kawasaki ZX10R).

The team is expected to make a presentation on the monday after the Valencia GP where they will be present in the testing.

All I can say is good luck guys, hope you can make it! the series sure welcomes a couple more bikes!

Get as many bikes on the grid as poss..
and they should set targets like beating suzuki that should'nt be hard.

I really hope they make it, sounds like a good group of guys together with a fair bit of experience in MotoGP/500 development. Pretty looking front end, the tail piece looks a bit like the KR212V.

Inmotec engines built with local hardware supplies put together by a local mechanic in a run-down shed somewhere in Spain vs. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki motors built with millions and millions of dollars worth of developmental cost in a highly secured, strict security, top secret, huge 3 story building complete with indoor swimming pools and gymnasium. Hmm...... ?

Whatever the case... good luck to Inmotec, the more bikes the merrier I guess.

As much as I love the Britten story and the whole guy in a garage thing their hill is vertical and good luck climbing. The more teams the better but be realistic in MotoGP you are .... if you are 1 second slower around a 4.5km track. Tough crowd.

I seriously doubt if any completely new team joining the circus has thier sights set on winning the championship in the first few years. Fair play to them. I hope their package is fast and that their riders have balls as big as the team manager
