The ones that have been to Indy, are there good locations to shoot photos? I dabble in photography and I'm getting a new heft lens to shoot. So I didn't know if any of you know some good spots?

Turn 6 has the best unobstructed view. It's a relatively slow left hand corner. I just use a regular camera with no attachments and have ended up with great shots every year so someone with a higher end camera should have a field day.

Thanks duder. At least someone knows what the .... I'm talking about. Since I have to deal with a bag of dicks on this forum sometimes.

I've gone every year since it started...actually have been all over that track. I've taken pictures from every corner that I could get a decent viewpoint and turn 6 is the coolest. If you sit in turn 1 on the outside of the track you can get good shots of then coming down pit lane and onto the track. The other good place is turn 4 of the oval. Its the NW Vista. They usually only have one stand open but its not overly busy. If you sit high enough and have a decent camera you can get really great shots of the bikes from turn 10 all the way to the main straight.

Thanks dude. I'm going to be shooting with a 420mm lens (so glad it's mFT) though. So I'm hoping to get some stellar shots this time around.
