This pic was taken right before Spies set pole. His look up to the stands reminded me of the legendary mythical scene of Babe Ruth pointing his bat to the bleachers signaling he would hit one out of the ballpark. Spies delivered.

Steeeeeve had his bike out and showed us his machine. Somebody else thought is was so cool that some stranger left him a note on his bike offering him a beer in exchange for a chat about his bike. Seriously, he showed us the note, had phone number and everything. I told him to call but Steeeeeeve opted to go have beers with mua and Longrider.

Back to the track. Some dudes came up and started interviewing this guy next to his RV. Funny .... too, cuz some other dude with a control vest started arguing with me about not having the proper pass to be in that area. The guys interviewing holding the camera told him to shut up because his voices were being picked up on the mic. Dude with the control vest walked away. I stayed and listened and took pics.

What in the hell is an ordained minister doing running around with that crowd, trying to save souls.



Who agrees that a fly over at a Moto GP race, should be F22 raptors. And they should be required to hit Mach 1 as they fly down the chute of the front straight at an altitude of about 50FT. Now that would get people in the mood for some bike racing, not some lumbering C-130.

Totally agree, seeing that bird fly over was a total let down. Laguna let loose a couple of F18s the first year I went. That's the way you do it!

I tell ya what's even cooler to watch fly over, a B-2 Stealth, one flew over lake I was partying at the weekend of Coke 600 race at Charlotte, actually it flew over the lake twice.

A B1 on the burners is pretty dang cool/loud/bitchin too!

pff, this guy didn't even so much as reply to a text to tell me he couldn't host me in michigan. I gave him two weeks notice, a week notice, a day notice, and on the day i finally gave up and stayed in grand rapids rather than go to grand haven or whatever. Laaaaaame. I wonder if he was even at indy.. 'couldn't find anyone'... whatev.
