Look behind you....
I was meant to be at Donny the whole weekend, but left after the first set of sessions yesterday (I kinda got bored
<
). Am going back for raceday of course, but a few thoughts and first impressions of a race:

1) Its just no fun when it rains. It really does dampen your enthusiasm (no pun intended). Next time, Valencia in the summer I think.
2) I had no idea what was going on. I didn't know who finished top of the practice sessions until I checked motogp.com!
3) Its no fun by yourself. I was looking for Ben and the motogpforum flag for most of the morning and it wasn't anywhere to be found at Craner Curves. Next time I go with a friend.
4) The practice sessions really aren't that interesting. Especially at Craner Curves. They just came down the hill after Redgate, up towards the Old Hairpin and that was it. Raceday I'll be standing near Foggy Esses and Goddards. Thats where the overtaking will be going on.

You'll think differently on raceday love! - its all about the atmosphere.
<

Matt mentioned something about having to move the caravan somewhere different because of the rain .... and they couldn't pitch the tent up because the new spot was on gravel?
hee hee ... so the 5 of them are sleepin int the caravan by the sounds of it!

Yeah, I walked around yesterday through the Craner Curves section, saw lots of Rossi flags, but no motogpforum one
<
Ah well, always next year
<

And Katt, you're right, raceday was amazing! I started laughing and grinning when Vermeulen overtook Rossi towards the end and all the Rossi fans were practically crying
<
But they showed Stoner respect towards the end, they applauded him so well done to them for that

I found that it depended on what time of day you went in. At some points they hadn't been cleaned for a while and it was pretty grim! But yeah, not too bad, did anyone have a shower?! Mine was stone cold

I found Friday a bit depressing because of the weather. We had to drag all of our camping stuff up hill through massive amounts of mud, not ideal. And I know what you mean about not having a clue whats going on. They didn't have the big screens on on Friday. I got myself a little portable radio thing which i tuned into Donnington Radio. It wasn't great but it gave me an idea of what was going on.

i think the best place to be is infield near the bridge after old hairpin because you see them for a large part of track and you can see the screen.

if foggy s's had a screen maybe that would be the best place.

I was very disappointed in the placing and number of screens at the track, however i was not willing to compromise my viewing to watch a screen. I can watch the tv at home after its all finished. The biggest problem is that the PA just wasn't loud enough when anything was on track.
