I need help!

I've been trying to watch today's race on the website and have been completely frustrated so far. I bought 2 packages which I thought might allow me access, but I keep getting denied. There are no descriptions that I can find that tell you exactly what is included with the different packages. Frankly, the site is horrible for the user, but I just want to watch the race!

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks

Sorry I forgot to introduce myself.

I'm a race fan and novice rider from Southern California. I'm working up in Seattle and don't have access to Speed Channel. I really wanted to watch the race and I thought this would be a good time to check out the content on the MotoGP website. So far no luck. I use a Mac (don't know if that matters).

In motogp.com says that contents are available only for Mac OS X users... So your problem can depends 'cause your mac is older than this...

I'm a Mac user and haven't had any trouble. Depending on what package you purchased you might be limited to what you can view but I would assume each package would include race videos. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Best of luck.

Welcome and enjoy!

Great to have another Capirossi fan around here.

I'm still working on it. I was able to view the files at work today (on a windows machine), so I know my account allows it. I couldn't watch the whole thing at work, so I really want to fix this. I'm using OS 10.3.9 so that should be ok. I must not have the latest version of media player or maybe I have the wrong settings. Which combo - browser-player-version are you using on your mac?

Thanks for helping. I appreciate it.

I've been using Safari and opting for Windows Media Player on the site. It has its quirks but overall it has been working pretty well. Sometimes you just need to refresh the page a few times for the videos to work properly.

^ And of course have a decent boradband speed, which I m sure you have.

Quicktime player is the other option.

Welcome BTW

Interesting developments:

Still haven't figured out why the videos in the Highlights section were playing fine but the videos in the Full Race section got a "Cannot Open File" message.

Then I installed a plugin called flip4mac which plays Media Player file in Quicktime. The Full Race videos started playing (in Firefox but not Safari). But then the highlights videos would not play until I turned the plugin off (not a big deal).

BONUS: The plugin allows you to play the video in a quicktime window instead of the browser window. After playing the complete video it allowed me to save it as a Quicktime (.mov) file. I imported the files into Itunes and watched them full screen It didn't look great, but still better than watching the hour (40 min race 20 min commercials) of coverage that we get in The States. The files are large (700MB) for the full race, and itunes didn't let me convert to mpeg4. Does anyone know how I can convert them?

i had trouble with the site as well actually, i also plumped for the "premium" pakcage where i get everything so was v worrying as had spend lotsa money on it, but it works fine now, i managed somehow to do something and im not technical at all, so god knows what i did, hope u get all sorted out
