How do you think Remy Gardner will fare on the Yamaha next year?

I can’t see him threatening many podiums, but he could surprise.

I would like to see him do well, but he was saying, that he would like to get a R1 and Pirelli tyres to suss it out.

He did win the moto 2 title, and plenty of guys who did not excel in the premier class have done well in WSBK, cf Bautista currently although I wonder how much of a chance he was ever really given, as with Remy, the satellite KTM was uncompetitive and Raul Fernandez rightly did not want his seat this season in the first place.

It will depend significantly on the bike, by all indications Toprak is really good and if he is struggling to beat a Ducati on the bike it does not bode well for Remy’s competitiveness.

Yes he did win the title then, but he had that great motivator Aki Ajo in the box with them, Tech 3 was a different story they were left to there own efforts to learn the bike and the electronics, Hervé Poncharal was no help, and once Remy came back to the box after a run to say the bike was a ‘piece of ....’, Herve was offended, as you were not allowed to talk about there POS like that, so he was blacked marked, they didn't even tell him his seat was given to Augusto.

He does seem to like sliding a bike with power so he may do better with a bike that is a proven product, I hope so.

Herve has a reputation as a plucky French guy battling the odds, a reputation I have largely bought into, but perhaps he is merely the low rent owner of a low rent team, several riders have been unimpressed there now, including Crutchlow, Zarco, Raul and Remy, at least some of whom presumably have riding talent. If the prize winning the moto 2 title is a 1 season Tech 3 KTM ride, I wonder what the guy who finishes last gets, perhaps 2 seasons with Herve.
