<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Marbles @ Aug 2 2005, 09:18 PM)<div class='quotemain'>Thankx everyone for the welcome

I just wish I knew enough to make a comment here as I never saw these other top guys ride, to know how strong they were and the opposition around them, how good there bikes were against the others in the field.  Its frustrating I just don't know enough.

I do know one thing though, I think we are watching someone very special at the moment that everyone is going to talk about for years and decades to come.  And I do have one important peice of advice for everyone.  DVD or Video these races at the moment because oneday he is gonna be gone. and in 10 years time you will be able to pull out those recordings and admire what happened it will be special.

I know of the years I've enjoyed some pretty special motorsport events and would give anything to see them again.  I'd love to see Alex Zanadi in the Cart seires 96/97/98 that was something special,  Nori in those years around 2000 on the Yam in superbikes he was fearless.

Rossi is pure talent

drill RallyeRon  please go on for hours on this subject please I wanna know

Ahh Ooost anoth Nitro fan  I just love that guy I'm hoping he comes to the fore in SBK again.  Also in your opinion what does Rossi have to do to be the # 1 of all time,  I beleive it his aim, just look at this weekend gone by he has an eye on the history.

arryace I too have not always been cheering for Rossi.  I did when he was on the rise on the 500's but after 1 year the 990's I was hoping someone would knock him of his pearch as I beleived it was just the bike.  But when he went to Yam wow impressive, did he ever ..... slap me around, what a .... I was for the previous few years I'm so ashamed of myself

. I'm now such a fan.

I too think he just playing with the opposition at the moment, I think he has a far better bike but just sits with the other riders until the last few laps and puts acid on them, I tell ya what he is destoying there heads something bad at the moment, look at Sete on the weekend ( respect Sete for not whinging this time ).  I'm glad he dosn't do a Pedrosa and just run up the track and hide.

Anyone got a link to a pic of Rossi on the 125 with the big no 1 on his back I love that pic I want it for my Avatar

Cheers All

Kevin Schwantz wrote a great article on past champs in MCN ,Brit GP weekend. One thing that impressed me was his knowledge of rivals race style, for instance -we knew Rainey was good in corners, but why?? Kevin went on to explain that Wayne was untouchable from idle to powerband in ANY corner.Other top guys are covered too...I`ll try and find the article!

Speaking of Ben Bostrom and Noriyuki Haga...

And the one of Edwards, Foggy anf Haga is my favourite because its one of Foggy's last ever races.

Those are some great pictures, I remember that picture of Nori coming down the Corkscrew with the moon in the sky. I was at the race Ben was pictured in, incredible stuff.

2000 was an amazing year for Haga. Those lines he was taking down the corkscrew!

Another one for you Ooost, of Ben again, this time in the heat of Misano in Italy.

I`ll email MCN again, theyr`e sending me an article, hopefully, on a sidecar outfit from the 1970`s that featured drive on both rearmost wheels and the passenger faced forwards as in a car.I`m certain I can get the Schwantz article too from the archives.

You can. I have the '94 '95 '98 '99 and most of 2000 on video. Look on the web for a company called Duke based in the Isle of Man, they sell lots of GP and superbike vids and DVD's.

Yeah I checked there site and I can only see reviews of the seasons, what I'm after is the full individual races. If they are there post the link please

OR name ya price

I dont know of anywhere that you can buy full individual races. I suppose the reviews put in all the best bits of the races. The 2000 season i recorded off the TV so thats been played a few times so you can imagine the tape is a bit worn! Also it was recorded off BBC and in those days they only showed highlights. Its still worth getting the reviews as your prob not guna get full individuals races. If you find some please post a link or something as will i.
