So your feeling Nicky's laguna run is over. Do you think any other americans can do it, or are you looking towards europe (Rossi/Pedrosa)

Edwards or Hopper i think...hope more like it.

I'd like to see Roberts take it. That or Hopkins, the non american i would most like to see pull it off is Stoner.

More of a chance of Vermeulen taking it if its to be a non-American. But my money's still on Hayden for LS.

Considering he has been dominant at Laguna,i will take Hayden on a bet.
Any Takers

It's all about the ratings. Great news if it's true, will do team KR no harm in getting a few additional sponsors for that round at least. Could the possibility of two US rounds next year have swung it? I think so. First step to showing them all live and the dollars that'll bring, I hope.

If you guys remember rossi said he couldn't wait for next year because he learned a few more things about the track at last years race. i think rossi could take it.

He better have learned alot to make up 5 seconds. Its no secret the Europeans dont like the track. To them its not safe and it kinda scares them.Nick grew up on these crappy American tracks and thats his edge here, just like the tracks Rossi grew up on,he has an advantage there. If they really want to piss their pants, try a hot lap at Road Atlanta and maybe the most dangerous corner in racing.Turn 12.You screw up there and chances are good you never race again

I'm hoping for Colin to take it this year. He had a bad start last year and a bad bout of the flu. If he doesn't get sick this year(knock on wood) then expect him to battle for the Win for sure! Watch out for Vermulen and Pedrobot however.

First time ever in 05, came third.

Second time, bike broke down.

BTW what do they mean "SOUP"?
I think 'soup' is short for superbikewhatever....just a guess...

Superbike Planet, a bike racing website, refers to themselves as Soup.Maybe thats what it is

It's hard to see how anyone can beat Hayden at Laguna Seca if his bike is any good.

He knows the track better than anyone else other than possibly Roberts but i doubt he will challenge for victories.

Thats right V.I.G,track knowledge is a huge factor on how you run.I would put alot money on Hayden if Gp was run on all but one American tracks.Everyone knows Rossi is better than Hayden, but when they come here, all of a sudden Hayden is 2/10 faster a lap.If he races for 3 more years, i would at that point expect him to challenge Hayden at Laguna. The one Hayden has to worry about is Pedrobot.Toward the end of the race last year he was closing pretty quick but Nick had put it on cruise control because of a chunked rear tire.
