hmmm

If it were all about track knowledge then why didn't Edwards win it? He raced Laguna twice a year during his time in WSB while Hayden only had one shot. Also, Colin had BB to follow around, invaluable in my opinion. Laguna could be won by any number of riders this year, Hayden, Edwards, Vermeulen, Pedrosa, Rossi, Melandri or Stoner I think all have legitimate shots at a win.

Yes, I don't think he's been anything better than mediocre in his visits to Laguna thusfar. I don't know how much of that comes down to the GSV-R being a pile in 2005 and the Bridgestones melting in 2006 but I haven't been impressed with his performances stateside yet. Hopefully he will prove me wrong.

You never know. But if the suzuki was up to it, you'd expect CV to be the man wouldn't you. He certainly had the measure of hopper last year.

Second time, bike broke down.

In ’05 was 0.371 secs behind Eduards… and was catching up! Don’t know if they slowed down cause Eduards would have liked to catch Hayden.

In ’06 he started from 10th on the grid and got up to 4th by lap 27… even overtook Roberts and Melandri! And then bike broke.
