not sure mate, i had my bike license in england, but have not done the test for over here. so i dont really keep up with the bike laws. but i think they should be good to go. maybe e mail a cdn dealer, see if they know
People around here are pretty excited about these things, especially newbs on my local message board, who have begun a detailed study of just how fast they can go on one.
Sorry no idea what it takes to make them legal in the U.S. Maybe just approval from the FTA?
Does California still get "special" bikes? Maybe something to do with that?
If you are in a state that it is easy to license, say a two stroke dirt bike for the street, and correct number of digits in the VIN (Japanese market have 3 or 4 less #'s). Get the bike into the US, and you are set!

Unfortunately in this case your wrong: the honda this is talking about has been out in Europe (Including GB) for ages;
also, the new dani pedrosa toy models have been out in the uk for ages; they are in a life size scale and can be found under the lego section at toys r us
My brother is law is going to buy one. I will ask next time I am at a my dealer what the changes would have to be. It's all DOT crap like where the reflectors are and stuff like that I think nothing major. Maybe Cali pollution controls??? Don't know.
