Seriously... my take on this quote is not that Melandri is doubting Rossi's capabilities, but rather that he

doubts whether Ducati will be able to wrap their heads around making a bike that is sufficiently

Yamaha-like for Rossi to compete on; especially doubtful that they will be able to pull it off between

now and Qatar. That's a lot to ask in terms of R&D time and the time need to actually fabricate any

new designs. It's pretty clear at this point that the Duc needs a .... load more than just "tweaking".

It needs serious rethinking and structural alteration. None of this (assuming they can pull it off)

will be cheap. It's the frame engineering equivalent of an overnight special. And to top it off - we're

talking about a bike that will only be around for the final year of the 800 era.

It seems like that every Stoner ... licker is after your blood mate. I can see they are losing their cool because they are not winning many debates against you. I find it quite disrespectful that Jumkie asked you to leave the forum for what ever reasons, he needs to remember one thing that powerslide is alive with people on board, we ask other people to join this place not existing members to leave this place.

Will Hayden beat Rossi this year? i dont know but i guess not.

In 2010 when Stoner had the worst start of the season and crashed 4 or 5 times, still he finished miles ahead of Hayden, infact both Rossi and Stoner had their worst year of their motogp, but they both finished in front of him.

Yes indeede, they don't like losing, much like their hero. And are definitely prone to through their toys out of the cot and issuing ultimatums when proven dead wrong.....

Much like the sort of behavior they are accusing a certain Motogp rider of and immensely condoning at every opportunity..........the word hypocrisy comes to mind yet again.

Nobody wants talpa to leave, even we idiotic/delusional stoner fans. He is a genuine fan, but you guys don't seem to realise that people can be fans of riders other than rossi just as strongly.

Just for my interest, please point out where talpa won this particular debate; I concede this may be difficult as I still am not entirely sure of the exact point of contention. As a generalisation, I could perhaps observe that winning debates is fairly easy if one of the participants decides not only who won the debate but also what the opponent is arguing, regardless of what the opponent has actually said
