bridgestone superior with 5 Mic's in top 6? no, tamada beat biaggi fair and square.

motegi:

MotoGP Results:
1. Makoto Tamada (Honda)
2. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha)
3. Shinya Nakano (Kawasaki)
4. Alex Barros (Honda)
5. Marco Melandri (Yamaha)
6. Sete Gibernau, (Honda)

bridgestone superior? yes, nakano proved that.
And you'll ignore the fact that Roberts Jr. placed seventh at Motegi in a season where he finished 19th overall?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Oct 20 2008, 10:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Haydens victories in 2006 could be considered equally anolalous. Neither were "usual" circumstances, but in any given race (and championship for that matter) the winner is he who copes best with the circumstances presented.
What was "anomalous" about Assen and Laguna in 2006? What were the "unusual" circumstances to which you refer?

Assen was a track all had seen before many times and Hayden fought to the last lap with Edwards. Mistakes were made by both, Hayden stayed on the bike to win.

Laguna was a track all had seen before in 2005 (for that year an argument could have been made that Hayden had more experience) and Hayden won by over 3 seconds from Pedrosa.

No but I am bored. And he is slowly learning.

Catalunya was a shame, I would have liked Capirossi to continue to be apart of the title chase. But that's racing.

You have a valid point, Melandri gelled well with the Gresini RC211V and did score more wins than Hayden. Unfortunately, he was never able to find that form aboard the Yamaha, nor any 800cc machine.

rossi's wrist fracture.

rossi and gibernau dibn't finish that race. that's the reason why i igrored roberts 7th place.

That's racing. There's no +/- 2 positions depending on whether or not Rossi and Gibernau finish.

Hayden has five podiums to Melandri's three in the 800cc era.

Yawn.
The japs can build a bike but they can't race em for ..... I liked Kato cause he had promise but it's a shame we'll never know how good he could have been. Now Haga in SBK could actually bring home a championship but he is the closest thing to going to win the big deal.

no, but B isn't superior in rio.

Well I'm of a differing opinion. It's too bad it was taken off the calendar, I would have liked to see Ducati and Bridgestone take that fly-away round in 2005 as well.

3-3 on "same" bike. if same means repsol honda vs gresini satellite .....

and 2 of that melandri's 3 podiums are second places. hayden have one second, only at his home gp.

Home GP. A track that hasn't held a motorcycle race since 1908.

But he had all of that extra track time to work on setup data riding the '09 bike!
