like the article says: there are enough riders dropping out and would ride 4 "free"...

would be great for 2 reasons:

1st: hayate wouldnt ride around last in the grid bout surely would be competitive!

2nd: if 2 riders go dowen now talmacsi takes a POINT without having done anything! so 1 more cant be a bad thing! 18 bikes is my personal minimum!
 
if tech3 want shot of jt but dorna want to keep him because of his passport then this is the perfect seat for him. With these new engine rule the hayate might end up more competitive.
 
Sounds like a great idea to me. I think everyone agrees that Moto GP needs more bikes and if a Yamaha engine keeps Hayate in the series, that's only a good thing.
 
Hope it works out, we need more bikes, it's sad to see competent riders like Elías and De Angelis find themselves with no bike in 2010.
