Assuming Yamaha doesnt find 10mph in the next couple of weeks,Stoner should be licking his chops with the thought of the 2 very long straits at Shanghai.

well yes i have to agree, but if michelin get something special out i would bet on Pedrosa. Rossi will be a very likely podium, and capirossi and Elias will also be fast.

rossi is probably already planning a rain dance as an alternative/ back-up to getting good new tyres and 10mph more

The Dukes will certainly have the advantage on the straights, but don't forget Shanghai has its fair share of tight twisties as well, so the Yam's and Honda's should be much more stable, again should be interesting if the stones dominate again over Michelin.

sure the ducs have a top end advantage but they always have had. i dont think yamaha/rossi have to find an extra 10 mph to compete. i just hope the tyre situation will not repete it's self.
its going to be a cracking race either way i think.

how about a 3 way battle of the ducati's?
<
a shame hoffman is so slow it could be a 4 way!

Ducati are obviously the favourites and as Casey is so far outperforming Loris, he is the obvious favourite for the race win.

The ducati doesn't seem bad around the turns this year though and those straights may be like at Qatar give Stoner enough of a gap that by the time the other bike (at Qatar, Rossi) has caught up they are back around at the straights again!

I doubt Michelin will screw up the tyres so badly this time but bridgestone clearly have a good tyre at the moment but hopefully the tyres will be pretty even.

If it rains then maybe Olivier Jacque can repeat his 2005 performance after all he needs a good performance after what has happened for him so far this season.

where is the finish line in china. i cant remember, just wondering if its going to be a long drag race down the straight or if its a mug them on the last bend track.

i think about midway down the strait.

but not 100% sure.

I don't think it will be a drag to the line as it is a slow last corner and the finish line is quite early down the little hill i think.

The hairpin 2 corners from the end is the most likely final passing place if it is not a ducati leading down the straight!

About a 3rd of the way down, the start is 3 quarters of the way.

I think the actual finish line is under the "UFO" to the right of the picture isn't it? i'm not sure though can't remember the end of the F1 or Moto GP last year.

He isn't good enough to do that without massive misfortune like we had last weekend.

wow what an awesome shot

You've got to fancy the Ducati's in China. The track is perfectly designed for their bikes, the Bridgestones seem to work pretty good too.The problem for everyone else is being able to get in the Slipstream of the Dukes on the straight, the Honda's don't look quick enough,or the Yamaha's,on last weekends speed trap top ends, only the Suzuki looks any where near quick enough.Could be interesting if Elias is fighting for places with Rossi again
