So apparently MotoGP is planning to return to Brazil in 2026 with a race at Goiania which hosted MotoGP in the 80s.

I'd love to see it but as always when MotoGP announces a new raxe, there's plenty of reason to be skeptical.
I've watched some Stock Car Brasil races at that track and it looks like the facility needs massive upgrades if they want to host MotoGP there.

2026 is a long way away, plenty of time to make changes if they are serious and if it makes economic sense (actually what does these days) !

According to photos online, apart from a few large run-off areas, it looks like a very old fashioned style track.

1# That's the problem. They are not. Seriousness is a not a quality appliable for Brazil.

2# It doesn't for Brazil. We are on the verge of an economic breakdown.

I'd love - oubviously - to be able to watch a MotoGP event on my country (I've never attended one personaly), but I don't believe that. Sounds like big bullsh!t. Brazil is terrible fuck3d and screwed up by judicial dictartoship. Do not believe on any sh!t you read on internet about Brazil going through good vibes. We are a hair of becoming a new Venezuela. For real.

Well they've signed a contract which as we know doesn't mean much in MotoGP. I do give this a better chance than another race in India though.

With any new race coming in, I'm getting more and more concerned about the lack of news from the ring.

I bet they won't rebuild the track in time and lots of money will be robbed. If they maganed to make it, though, I hope to meet you guys here for a good time together. I'll certainly be there. I'm about 375 miles from Goiânia so no big deal. 5 to 6 hours by car.

Ribeirão Preto. Have you come to Brazil?
Didn't Stock Car race at Ribeirao Preto some years ago?

I'm curious which track would fall off the schedule if they indeed go to Goiania. I don't see them running more than 22 at this point.
2026 seems extremely ambitious though.
Right now I'm wondering if the three additions to the 2025 schedule are actually gonna happen. No clue if Argentina has the funding secured or if Brünn can get the repave done in time and if Hungary makes the reconfiguration in time.

Yeah it did from 2010 to 2015 season, it was a mess, the cars racing on the streets that were blocked and repaved for the race. It was solely an event (together with others) to the mayor (a woman, Darcy Vera) take money away from the public coffers. Everything in Brazil is done with corruption in mind, hahahahaha. MotoGP will be the same ...., lots of overpriced services and products so someone somewhere can get some extra money. I wonder if Carmelo Ezpeleta is also in the middle of this mess. Maybe he's got offered some extra bucks too.

I think they will drop Argentina for Brazil, but actually Argentina is currently recovering from economic disaster as Brazil is plunging in crisis. I sincerely doubt this event will ever happen. Well, if it does, you guys can take a good advantage of it as until that date, exchange rates will be blowing our minds like $1 = R$ 7 or even R$ 8 BRL. You guys are going to be rich here hahaha.
