and it was his first 20 laps on a race bike in years. All in all it doesn't mean much, except that he doesn't completely suck. If anything, it's impressive. We'll see how the rest goes.

I think right now he would be able to since Marco can't possibly have any confidence left.
I think so too

Thanks. Now can you translate it into American?

Wouldn't it be great to see him make a comeback, at least a few wildcard? Possibly a win, so he can rest in peace from the stigma of Rossi's voodoo shadow.

(Appreciate the time it took).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>On Wednesday the former World Championship runner-up was only able to complete a handful of laps, in the afternoon, after rain once again hit the Italian circuit. In his short time on track, Gibernau did however manage to improve on his Tuesday time by more than a second, recording a fastest lap of 1´52.06.

We will see how dedicated he really is after he falls. I think this is what really made him retire in the first place. Not the Rossi curse.

Former MotoGP World Championship runner-up Sete Gibernau has successfully wrapped up a three day test visit to Mugello with Ducati, the Spaniard taking advantage of good weather conditions on Thursday to clock up 50 laps and record a best time of 1´51.7.

I just read an interview with Livio Suppo,he sais something like,we do tests with other riders:Canepa and Gibernau to make Melandri understand that the Ducati isn't built for Stoner, other riders can be fast on the Ducati also.It seems like Suppo has been a friend of Melandri for a long time and in my opinion that has blinded him.I think he was wishing and not seeing the reality.
I say get rid of Melandri as fast as possible and put anyone capable of developing a bike in the team, that's why they used Bayliss,Capirossi and Gibernau, riders with experience.
He has been on the bike for 8 months now and still "hasn't got the feeling for it" ,that must be the longest learning curve ever.
I remember Capirossi said right after he tried the Suzuki for the first few laps,-If you're not comfortable straight away on a bike or really know you can be,you're in trouble.
So that is probarbly part of the reason why they let many other riders try it,to find out what kind of rider would be suitable.

Looks like he was 0,6 seconds from Melandris best lap on Mugello ,i think that sais everything.

I hope they let Mika Kallio test it and then sign him for the Alice team ,it would be interresting to see what he could do...

As usual i was wrong by the way,i didn't think they would make the test times official, but they did.
