Why does someone testing the Ducati have to say anything about Stoner or Melandri?

Rossi has 3 test riders working at adapting the Yamaha to the Bridgestones - can't Rossi develop a bike?

It is like Ducati is the only team that uses test riders by the comments that go up about these topics. What is wrong with trying to use someone who can lap close to the pace of the race riders? Why did Okada test the pnematic engine for Honda at the last round - what can't Dani or Nicky develop a bike?

Grow up for F sake!
 
I have no problem at all. If sete makes the ducati faster, all power to him; ducati seem to have made some progress in the latest race and post-race testing anyway. I am just surprised that ducati have a former rider of quality who is not totally pissed off with them.

all factorys have factory test riders i would hjave thought, do you know who these 3 yamaha test riders riders are ?

It was a story on MotoGP.com after the first race of the season, not sure who they are but at the time there was all this excuse crap about Rossi needing time to adapt to the BS's blah blah blah from his groupies.

i must have missed that story on motogp.com. i think the last statement was a little uncalled for, thats just flaming mate.

Very funny , the article also says

"The work of the test team is not very important [in that sense]," said the Italian. "They go more slowly. I don't think they can make a lot of difference."

I recall a story that they had all three yamaha test riders testing bridgestones at one stage, possibly because they had no data for the bridgestones and plenty for the michelins, and tyre tester extraordinaire colin edwards (who if recent rumours are to be believed is on the michelin payroll this year) to test the michelins. Seems to have worked anyway

In any case, valentino +/- jb seem to be developing well this year , and recent improvements to the ducati seem to involve stoner and not melandri unfortunately. I am not proud; if sete, canepa or anyone else can improve the ducati I will be pleased, as I am sure will be casey stoner.

well the thread is about gibbers test riding for ducati so comments about stoner and melandri's part in development is in the theme of the thread. to then say "Rossi needing time to adapt to the BS's blah blah blah from his groupies " has .... all to do with it . it just looks like you always want to stir up .... with peeps who support rossi and that has .... all to do with this thread imho.

What happens if he is instantly faster than Marco?
I reckon Melandri might be a little nervous about this news.
Test rider Canepa was much quicker than Marco in the recent test @ Catalunya.

Oh TP70 - the rest of the thread was designed to wind certain fans up.
But I'm not biting.

I bet everyone a fiver that Gibernau comes off & does his shoulder in again. He's the Inspector Clouseau of Moto GP. (Not wishing it on him though)
