After securing his place on the second row McCoy revealed that he is riding with a broken leg following a motocross accident just three weeks ago.

Pedrochio should take note!

McCoy is one of the toughest .......s I've seen on a bike. The amount of times he's been injured and get's back on it amazes me. I hope he has a great season.

So he not ready to be installing "Roller Doors" yet

McCoy is a tough man,he`ll do his best to ignore his injury and push the Triumph hard.I`m just wondering if he`s going to give us the tyre smokin display in the corners.....if thats possible on the Supersport bikes.

I have seen some AMA guys powerslide, but not sure how the WSS bikes are. I always thought the Triumphs were a bit underpowered too. Did they fix that to get this race bike?

Garry is crazy. Must not be too bad of an injury to not take him out though.

mccoy is definately a tough nut. but he needs to quit breaking bones all the time. his injuries have screwed up his career.

You`re right brother, unfortunately.McCoy probably hasn`t the strength or stamina for bigger bikes now but I wish him well however he finishes,he`s given us images we won`t forget in the 500`s.

yea last year i tought he might return with the 800cc, with them being less of a handfull than the 990's not that he would'nt be able to ride a 990 but like drill said he might not have the strenght and stamina to go race distance. hes got the wss ride and it was great to see him road race again at the wkend even if it was short lived and we might even see him try for the world supermoto championship again in the next few years

for a very skinny guy that looks really harmless he is a serious tuff nut

You would have enjoyed watching him today at Phillip Island. He rode a great race ... came from nowhere (qualified 17th) to catch the leading group of riders ... unfortunately he just couldn't get on the podium!

As admirable as it is, racing again while still injured can't have helped things.

What was he doing motocrossing?

McCoy's as tough as nails, so this doesn't really surprise me.

Bit of a shameful dig at Dani from you mind.

3 Grand Prix wins. Injuries never let him show his best, which is sad.

Triumph made a great race bike, and with a top rider on it, it is even better.

McCoy is the real McCoy.

The dude is all nails! We were robbed of what could have been in MotoGP.
