I'll also mention the win at Donington in the wet on the M1 - was it '04?

It was 2005. PI was a good one, but welkom 04 is easily the best for me.

In the right hands (team and rider) the bike was able to win more than half of the races and was fairly dominant. There are times when it is indisputable which bike is best (like Hondas in the 90's, or Yamaha now) but a lot of the time we see a bike only doing well with one rider or team using it and its a pretty open debate as to why that is the case.

Definitely Donington 2005.

I was ill for days after that one as I didn't take a coat (to one of the coldest and wettest races ever).

That win more than made up for it though.

I'd say his other best ones were Welkom 04, Laguna 08 and Catalunya 09.

You could just save time, remember things and gather some knowledge. It's not too hard

Ha ha, from the guy who has to google his name that is pathetic. Tom, you have sung the praises of Google as long as you have come on here. Anytime you have been called out on it, you have argued how else can people who weren't around for races (eg The Doohan Rainey and Schwantz era which you have often admitted that you missed) use Google to learn about GP.

Very very poor

Nothing to do with age Tom, off the top of my head I said '04, it was '05 - I stand corrected.

If you want to start throwing facts and trivia around about this sport that's fine. I'll P.M you a question requiring a one word answer, you've 30 seconds to reply - that way you can't hide behind google or frantically thumb your way through Motocourse..or phone a friend (not that I'd imagine you have many of those) Then you do it back - best of ten. I warn you, you'd be very, very, foolish to try, - even given the alzheimers you'd be surprised what I can remember kid. Sleep on it - the challenge is there, let me know when you're ready.

I would expect any near serious motogp fan to remember a stand out race from just 4 years ago. I don't actually think its a big deal if someone doesn't remember things or even doesn't know them in the first place, but i think its ridiculous that you lot get upset when someone knows something you don't, and your defense is to accuse them of being willing to learn like its a bad thing. Funny ..... I'm sure you'll continue to sit and act as though that you have never read a book or website to learn anything ever, i think thats hilarious if its true or not

This is exactly what i'm talking about, not the pride that you carry with your knowledge but the way you treat other knowledgable people like they are challenging to you, like a threat. For what? I couldn't care less if everyone on here believes pete, i google my own name. Hell on here even most posters opinions are googled or copied, you can read a post race thread and its just a list of ways to paraphrase what the TV commentators said early that day. Jumkies posts often just read like the superbike planet website and Lex just exaggerates what he reads on motogp matters.
