Typical hero worshiping Rossi Bopper...
You don't truly appreciate his abilities or personality, or the drama of the races. Instead, it's all about how he beats riders you don't like. I'd be careful with that attitude, Schadenfreude can become addictive and is never pretty.

Schadenfreude or enjoying the drama ?
im sure if at laguna this year ends with rossi going in the kitty litter after swapping some paint with stoner there will be plenty of stoner fans cheering and saying things like justice from last year. carfull pointing your finger mate, posts like this have a habbit of being dragged back up

Very true, If you dont then you have no passion for the competition in the sport. We all love a bit of drama, just look at the amount of posts in threads where there has been drama in a race

For me Rossi's most memorable victories were the 2004 ones, first year with Yamaha, the bike was not as good as the Honda, and he still managed to win the championship, that's the first time ever I saw the championship won by a rider without the best equipment. The only time I've admired the guy.

The toilet and Biaggi incicents where funny but I don't care too much about the comedy side, I like bike racing, if I liked comedy I'd watch something else. (That goes for the Actor aka Jorge Lorenzo too)

The Jerez incident with Sete for me was the lowest point of Rossi's career and not memorable at all, just proved to me he has very little ethics, which I do consider important.

Always thought Jerez was a pearler, best part was Hollywoods theatrics after the race...

Man I thought you just said you liked racing. I'm sure you can grasp that two guys go into a corner its the strongest that comes out the other side first. If I was Sete I would have kept the bike leaned over on Valentino and taken both of us out, not pick it up and send myself into the dirt. Sete is the gimp of motogp

i have to agree with that. his first race on the M1 at welcom stands out for me as his best..

Vale's response to the ten second penalty at Philip Island for passing unintentionally under a yellow flag say's all you need to know. Jeez, this has just given chills thinkng about it.

I'll also mention the win at Donington in the wet on the M1 - was it '04? I think he'd been dicing with KR and Barros, who weren't exactly averse to a bit of precipitation come race day. Several laps from the end, he just put the hammer down and checked out in some of the most appalling track conditions I have ever seen. Rossi and th M1 were in harmony - It was a sweet as a violin concerto, as he demonstrated when he crossed the line.

I think the whole of the racing world had a tear in there eye after that win, biaggi for a different reason though
