Hi all, Im new here so thought id say hello to you all.

I used to love 500 gp back in the early 90's when i had bikes and Schwantz/Lawson/Rainey/Doohan were my heroes. Ive been out of it until about 3 years ago when i started taking an interest again. Last year id say i got messed up on motogp again and luved every minute of it and its the same again for this season
<

My question is Eurosport2 are showing "The best race of 2008" tomorrow nite and the 2009 pre-season testing on sunday and i cant wait.
Can anyone confirm for me if both the BBC and Eurosport will be televising Motogp this year ?
I thought Eurosport had lost it ?
If it is only the bbc will they be showing all practice and qualifying sessions ? and will julian and Toby still be doing the commentary with mamola in the pits ?

Thanks

Paul

PaulEurosport w/ Ryder/Moody (no Mamola) cut a deal to broadcast practice and the smaller classes live and the 800s after some delay, I think.

I knew about the test, but I had no idea they were showing a race tomorrow.

Thanks for that - I'd have missed it otherwise.

And I'm sure MCN said Toby and Jules were both doing the commentary, but they're only together at a couple of rounds. Someone like James Haydon is meant to be filling in when there's only one of them doing it. I could be wrong though - I did read it MCN after all.

if i remember as well toby etc are doing all there commentary from a studio and will only be a 2 rounds live a spanish round and silverstone..<TYPO Donnington ty frosty58

found it,dont know how this will effect the commentary atmosphere''

Eurosport have now done a deal to broadcast the practice and the races with Moody and Ryder which won't interfere with the BBC coverage. Under the deal, Toby and Jules will provide commentary for practice, qualifying and the 125 and 250 races live, and the MotoGP races will be broadcast a few days later with the recorded live commentary. Sadly, though, Moody and Ryder will no longer be at all the races. They will be providing commentary from a studio in the UK for most of the races, with the exception of the Spanish and British round,

BBC will show qualifying on the red button.$ky.virgin freeview.etc
125-250 races on the red button.motogp race on main channel prob bbc 2 and they will prob use bbc 3 like they did sometimes last year sometimes as well
