Electronics

Do the electronics set the bike up? Nope.

Sure they aid the rider with certain aspects and everyone used them, T/C will help conserve tyres, but I would think that bike setup in the practice sessions, previous data, rider feedback would me more important that the electronics package.

If the Ducati package is that hot, then what are the excuses of Loris, Alex, and The Hoff (when he was still racing)

you assume the bikes are the same as each other, sure they look the same but its whats under the plastic that counts !

Apparently Kurtis Roberts did his fastest laps at Sepang with traction control completely turned off. Granted, he was dead last and all, but still interesting.

some may be running screamer config, some big bang, some testing new parts some with the latest mapping software ect ect. when people compare team bikes and as is the case here factory and sat bikes they have no way of knowing the differences under the plastic so i really dont see a comparison.
for an example, nickys bike blows up twice, dani's runs sweet as a nut, why ? different bikes under the plastic.

Wow, that means they have managed to make a really nice mess of it, if the bike works better when its turned off

A bit like Montoya's Williams when the rear wing fell off a couple of years ago - the lap times with and without were remarkably similar.

It'd only be interesting if a front running team managed this, either in MotoGP or F1.

Didn't Nicky do this at Assen?

It might make you ride better if your better skilled without needing it but if the best riders are using TC theres no point because you won't be able to touch them.

Dorna wanted to slow the bikes down but the lap times are still getting faster. They have only spoiled what we like to see powersliding and the human factor.
