<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>There is so much more involved with 2nd tier teams than race wins. Sure they would like to have the next super star rider to put their brand on the podium but
these rookies are a huge risk. Look at Toes; Multi time WSB champ giving it his all no doubt, and barely a mid packer in this class. Colin and Cappers both are cagey vets who are worth their weight for some teams. I would say Ponch is appreciative of how Colin has helped developed their racing platform. That goes abit further than a finicky 250 Euro midget looking to climb the ladder as fast as he can. Colin does not repeatedly wad up hardware either. He offers an experienced, steady hand with a cool head. The ideal combo for Tech 3 would be a vet and a rookie up and comer (like they thought Toes was).
I think Suzuk is glad to have Cappers but is proly, Like Tech 3, on the look for the right new guy if they can get them, otherwise stick with a solid vet and try to move forward without taking a huge step back or loosing the way developmentally.
Edwards is battling Dovi for 4th (A factory effort) and just outside the Super 4; So he is near best of the rest and may yet end up that way (also beating other factory efforts.

What exactly is this huge risk? Do you mean these rookies might only end up no higher than sixth place like Edwards! You're a funny guy
