Moto2 for Passa, I fear he would be the next Elias up with the big boys, flashes of brilliance at the odd track a couple of times a year, kind of how he is now in 250's, big call on the duck, might be some more behind that PR wise......how good was Loris on that bucket of .... at Brno

Never under estimate capi. If you had to bet on one fast lap and he has shown he can ride just about anything at the sharp end.

Absolutely agree Roger.
It isn't uncommon for a rider to get within 3 - 4 seconds, but to then get down to the leaders pace is a different story and it is getting those next few seconds and then tenths that many find ridiculously difficult and where the sedate bike becomes a cantankerous beast.
Pasini is either wanting a ride on a more permanent basis or simply talking out of his ... at the moment, lets see what he says when he is within .3 of JL/VR and see if it is an easy bike to ride (my bet is as Talpa suggests - he wants the ride so speaks nicely).

If it was, everybody would be calling that an un-fuing-believable performance!
So Pasini's comment was not arrogant at all, he simply said the Ducati was not that difficult to ride, and he demonstrated it by riding it more than decently fast with ease, without crashing. He didn't say it was easy to ride it as fast as Stoner.... now that would have been arrogant.

Geez, talk about flogging a dead horse. put it this way, i could ride the duc around the track miles off pace and say it was easy but it would be a pretty arrogant comment and insulting to the guys that ride it to its full potential. This is a sport where tenths win or loose. 3 secs is not even in the same league !

If you can't understand that when one rides a motogp for the very first time 3 secs off the pace is a pretty good result, then the death of the poor horse is your responsibility
