.

You also should remove the gas tank. It is very easy to do, just make sure the fuel is not in the "PRI" (Prime) position.

Post some photo's of your bike

Evening all, just another quick question... I would ask my Dad this and save myself from probably making a ... out of myself as its going to be a simple answer, but he’s off for a few days on his bike, so I ask any of you...
When I go to change down several gears at a time (or just keep the clutch in for a prolonged time) for a tight turning or something, the engine just cuts out?
Is there a really simple explanation for this, or is it just something that I will have to get used to and change how I ride (baring in mind this is the first time I've ever rode a 4stroke bike, from doing motocross and only being able to ride up 125 before last month).

Thanks a lot for any help, its much appreciated.

Will do, and as for the key, didn't try today as I got back from work and watched the race but will have a go at it tomorrow.

increase the tickover or keep throttle slightly open when clutch is in. Why are you pulling the clutch in for long periods of time going round corners ?
4 stroke have huge torque. clutch slipping shouldnt be needed unless your david knight

easy fix, ride like a man and get back on the throttle before it cuts out !

Not going round corners, just like changing down multiple gears to come of a main road onto a little lane or something.

I'll do that then, sounds like the best plan.

Thanks.

im always here with helpful advise mate

seriously tho. do you have a race can on this bike, if so you may need to richen up the mixture screw. this is just for tick over upto a couple of thousand revs max then you on needle jet then main jet. lots of peeps up jet but forget the mixture screw adjustment. being a 4 stroke single there prone to cutting out on idle because it will only have a power stroke every 720 and unlike multi cylinder engines it has no other cylinders to carry it over.

Pretty terrible photo, only camera I own is like 4 years old and about 4 mega pixels lol... But anyway here’s my bike:

Just cleaned it after taking it out to a friends house on the coast

Also, Roger, as you can see in the photo its just the standard exhaust on atm, looking to get a new one when I can get some money. The whole bike is completely standard (just with 33bhp kit thing for my license).
I took your advice and kept the revs up but it still cut on the odd occasion.

Went riding in this on Friday, was ....... sweet (took photo from my car on way back from work):

Was so much fun, pretty stupid as well, the water past gateways resembled a river lol.

Just hosed the bike down earlier after changing the rear light and indicators from the stupidly big stock ones. I think they look a lot better, just need a smaller plate and a new exhaust but going back to college now so finding the cash gets harder.

Just can't wait to go out through the woods again like old times

Also, I managed to get that key out the steering lock, but can see how it got snapped, the thing is pretty much use less.
