Dovi says if your not a clown, you get no attention

Cum on Barry... every ....... racer who is not leading a race wants closer racing... 2nd wants to be closer to 1rst, 3rd wants to be closer to 2nd, 4th wants to be closer to 3rd... Duh, your not the sharpest knife in the drawer are ya mate?

Thats so idiotic its almost "Talpesque"
<

Never ever ever ever hear anyone say anything so stupid
<
Get real

Dovi is on the inside of the fence ( a racer ) not a spectator, why would a race participant ever want "closer racing". All that the contetstants in a race want is to be at front ....... with the others behind somewhere ...... the further out in front they are the better too.

Never heard of a racer who wanted "closer racing"

You make it sound like they are in a staged show or something.

Rossi used to get bored when he was way out front in the rc211v days. Several times he slowed to let others catch up so he could have a battle. Cant remeber the race, could have been pi this actually cost him the race. He got a right bollocking from jb for throwing away a huge lead and the race.

Similarly Dani loved the cut and thrust in 125 - (although as I recall Stefano Perugini was a constant thorn in his side) - and used to pull the pin very late in the race happy to have sat in the pack in about 5th...much to the infuriation of Uncle Alberto. This all changed in 250 with the arrival of Lorenzo though. I also recall some great clean battles between Valentino and Loris in '06 which the two were clearly still buzzing over long after. There is also strong evidence that the epic Silverstone contest between Sheene and Roberts in '79 was a pre-agreed staging between the two to give the fans a spectacle to remember. It is said by many that they only agreed to start racing on the penultimate lap. Watch this space - I pledge to finally find out by the end of next month!!

Dovizioso is a let down. I thought the dude had something in him, but turns out he's a dud. Quite sad, as I would like to see more race winning contenders dicing it up at the front.

Well according to your criteria we should only have a world championship currently consisitng of two riders...the rest are "duds"...brilliant

Come on......... we all know Dovizioso has been under-performing since he's been to MotoGP. Don't even say it's because they play favoritism and he's always second, or make that third fiddle.

He's got the equipment, it's time for him to step up. Honda's dropping his azz anyways, it was only in his clause that they kept him around.......... I believe he just barely met it, and it wasn't a high target too. Though I forgot what it was, or if it was even true.

He is currently 37 points behind the title leader and 9 points behind the guy coming second....look to 1992 as a perfect example of what can happen in racing.

If the leading 2 riders suffer any sort of long term injury (god forbid) their points advantage could suddenly evaporate and then he has a better chance than anyone to claim his first world title....hardly what I would call a "dud". He certainly hasnt won many races in the premiere class but you dont always have to win races to claim a world championship....Emilio Alzamora can attest to that fact.

I rather watch someone who wins a few races in a season but crashes half of the time trying to go for wins then someone who tries his best but can only arrive in 3rd place with a capable winning bike and gets a championship due to consistency..... ala Nicky 'The Kentucky Squid' Hayden.

yeah when the competition wasnt there... goes to show just what sort of(lack of) compettiion there was back then... if it was lorenzo minus say rossi, stoner, pedrosa... then he prob could do the same thing, look at how he just rode thru the field after giving up 45 seconds... gone are those days.
