Donington Practice & Qual

It's good these guys have plenty of time to set the bikes up if it rains on Sunday. It will be interesting to see who goes hard right from the get go. I think Hayden will try and take off, probably have a few hairy slides then most likely bin it.

The only concern for Casey is Pedrosa. Everyone else is within a couple of tenths and are not even contenders. Michelin seem to have a pretty decent tyre this time round, no guess work makes things a little easier.

Ant West could be cursed. Debut on the KTM in the wet at Donington, career down the crapper. Debut on the Kawi in the wet, top 5 finish not unreasonable, career?

I hope it pisses down tomorrow and is dry on Sunday. Everyone will be ...... for setup. 20 min warm up to sort things out. That would make for an interesting race.

If its wet anyone want to predict the crashers? Mine are based on the rider's pure desperation to turn what amounts to a ..... season around. Hayden, Edwards, Nakano.

Pedrosa was unbelievable, that last lap of his! Seems like Rossi can't get his water wings on...yet, but almost two seconds down and it ain't tyres.
On Eurosport, Mamola and the guys said that the word from Yamaha was that Rossi's elbow was fine so it's puzzling. He was only in the 45's once the whole session, whilst Stoner had 7/10 laps in the 45's. Stoner along with West and Edwards were the only ones stringing handfuls of quick laps together though Edwards and West the are most consistent as far as I can see. This weeks hero is again on a Kawasaki, there's a pattern developing

I want to see what happens in FP3 with some guys running race distances, we'll have an idea who'll be at the front on Sunday then. I hope it rains all weekend

sorry if you're there!

Hardly saw any bikes on the way there today either all cars and the queue for the campsite this morning was horrendous. But the queues had gone when we left.

WEST/......................errr wow...........err why didn't KR knab him first?????
West has been riding for Kaw a lot this year, 250s(?? or 125s) and wss. He needs a full time ride, and deserves it, so do kaw. Poor Jacque. Kenny roberts sr needs just part time riders for a couple of races. Poor rea, but poor kurtis aswell. hes gonna get wet!

Any comments from Rossi after today's practice??

So - donnington surface....Stoner says it's really slippery now and they should "scrape the new one back up and use the old one" where as Hayden says "doesn't feel near as slippery as two years ago". Lol.

Hopkins is going to win the title next year - or so he says.

half the field must have fallen off during the 250s. Was crazy

...including 3 of the 4 wild cards.

And why do you think they are called WILD cards?

The one who didn't was within the percentage to qualify...does that
mean he has qualified or does it depend if his time is within the
limit after combined qualifying? He's on a tz i believe

Wake up.

There's a couple of years since they left two Q-sessions. The only one is this afternoon. There has been one exception I think and that was in Malaysia? Too much rain when the QP arrived and it was cancelled

I'm talking about the 250s (no wild cards in 800s) who have QP1 and QP2.

What are you talking about?`

I think he has realised that the universe does not revolve around him...the pressure...maybe he isn't a god!

Crash.net said he crashed leaving the pits in FP3. Sounds like someone is making mistakes under the pressure.

Wonder whether Nicky would have had results like today for the previous races if he had the same equipment as Pedrosa like he has now?

..Rossi is probably just having a bad weekend..so what..

I'm pleasantly surprised by Hayden today..I hope he can keep the pace on raceday.
