Dani out of the doghouse?

I laughed my head off seeing Dani make a little sign with his foot for Nicky to overtake. And frankly, I guess it must be such a huge weight off his tiny shoulders. At least this way it looks like Nicky's forgiven him and Dani won't need to spend the rest of his career feeling he owes him!

Of course Dani's out of the doghouse, Hayden won didnt' he? If Hayden hadn't won the championship they'd still be blaming Dani. My hats off to Hayden, it was definitely a tough season for him. He handled it very well. My respect for him just got bumped up a notch. Great job Nicky!!!

I'm pretty sure Nicky forgives him for what happened in Portugual and im glad because Dani is a good rider and that accident should not be a defining point of his racing career. With Nicky Hayden winning it, it's only a matter of very little time before it disappears.

Dani would have protected Nicky whether it was Rossi or not and he did, but made a mistake and got behind Stoner... fought his way past Stoner and making sure Melandri didn't get too close to Nicky.. sure his race pace didn't do it, but he did a great job for a teammate.. getting a great start, let Nicky through and tried to wait for Rossi..

Dani Pedrosa did what Dani Pedrosa is famous for. Using his head, not his balls. Estoril was a one off. All that "Pedrosa is showing his true colours" was crap.

While I don't think he should be doomed for life because of one error, did anyone watch his post-race interview on MotoGP.com? He couldn't even get the words out "Congratulations to Nicky"; all he kept saying is good for the team. He said we won the rookie title, manufacturer title, and oh yeah " he" won the title. I am sure I am being picky, just seemed odd to me.

Yeah, maybe he's not a nice guy, but I still think it was a bit unfair that after he screwed up in Estoril (and there's no arguing that he did) that a lot of people were saying "Dani's showing his true colours" because he made one big mistake at a bad time after 6 years without knocking another rider out. I guess Dani's just too easy to hate.

Definately, he's out of it for sure now and no more iwll be spoken up of it until they meet in the pub one day and have a right old laugh about it.

However, if Hayden hadn't of won the championship the first person he and Hayden's fans would be having a go at would be Dani Pedrosa and he wouldn't hear the last of it! Pretty lucky for Pedrosa I suppose, at least he's gained fans this time not lost them.

agreed richo!!

ofcourse, Haydens world champion lol it was good to see the hand shake between Nicky & Dani before the race... although Colin's and Vale's was abit more friendly i thought lol

same, i think those two are getting on better, but letting time progress lol . Colin and Vale, well those two haven't had anything bad happen (yet), but it was still good 2 see.

i'm sure pedrosa will be back on nickys christmas card list.

he did everything he could (not much) to help nicky on sunday but as it happened, he didn't need to.

i couldn't help wondering what colin would have done if Rossi had caught up to him in the race ? i doubt he would be in a position to be doing the maths to work out where rossi needed to be to take the title.

Let's hope. It's not very nice to see two teamates dislike each other.
I think it's Jorge Lorenzo and Hector Barbera that don't get along, somewhere i read it.

It would be quite funny to watch them battle, but not very good if it comes down to the 'Rossi-Biaggi' level, where they were punching the hell out of each other. I would feel sorry for Pedrosa if it did, given the height disadvantage of Hayden being quite tall. lol

Hayden really isn't that tall either.
Rossi looks tremendously big around them and he is average height.
I think about 6 feet or maybe a little less.

people will look back at 2006 and think wot on earth....the guy with the most race wins didnt win the championship x

rossi showed his strength time after time coming back after all his problems to be 5 points off the win. hayden may think he truely deserves it more than anyone but itll never happen again so he should treasure the moment x
