True, but at the same time it`s good to see Sete back. I`m intreste in seeing how he`s bee affected by the whole ordeal. Hopefully not for the worse.
And Maybe Hofmann has learned a bit more about the GP06 from his time on the factory bike, knowlege he can take back to maybe squeeze some more speed out of his own Dunlop shod slug.

I was just reading the release from Michelin and they were talking about the nature of the track and this and that and it got me thinking. They say side grip is the most important aspect in the tire at Sachsenring. The biggest complaint Nicky has had about the 'Evo' RC211V is its lack of side grip. I predicted Nicky to win this thing but if the 'Evo' is still a handful leaned over and on exit, Nicky might struggle quite a bit.

Do we know if Dani is going to be riding the new EVO? Could be problems for both.....I remember from my racing days I used to hate the long fast sweeps...it would massacre the sides of the tires......if you look at the Ring....its got at least 5 real fast banks where the rider will be layed over pretty flat for most of the turn.......

Dani declined to ride the 'Evo' this past winter and so he will ride the 'Spec' just like Melandri's for the season. The rumors say Hayden was "given the option to ride either bike but was told it would be in his best interest to ride the 'Evo.'" I really wonder where Nicky would be with the 'Spec' machine instead of trying to sort the 'Evo.'

Looks like Hayden is doing ok despite being on the EVO....something changed in Donny though....it was my understanding that Hayden rode on a new chassis....I can only assume this was a new version of the EVO he rode....and it wasn't so hot it seems....

In light of that info, I`m sticking with my first prediction:

Rossi
Hayden
Pedrosa

I dont think the tyres will hold back Hayden a hell of a lot, but it will be enough for Rossi to win

i'll give it a go.. even though i never get it right: (i won't put Loris up because i don't think he's fit enough yet)
1. Melandri
2. Pedrosa
3. Rossi

Vale`s wrist is now fit (MCN) so I would think he`ll be winning on Sunday with Nicky second and Hopper third, tyres permitting.

Well have to see how Suzuki, Kawasaki or Ducati performs...in the race..i won't doubt that they will qualify well but the race is all that matters...

Intresting. Lets hope Bridgestone are really ready to start taking it to Michelin

Nakano's always brilliant at Sachsenring... I should have mentioned him in my post. I can't see him beating Rossi, Melandri, Pedrosa though unless one of them makes a mistake.

Head says...

1. Rossi (lost at Donny and is hungry as hell)
2. Hayden (back on form after Donny)
3. Melandri (on form and has won here in 250)

Heart says...

1. Hopper
2. Gibernau
3. Ellison

).

Sanchsenring first section (very convoluted, http://www.elmundo.es/elmundodeporte/espec...circuitos.html) should penalise riders who don't get their tyres management right, I suppose.

That last sentence is why my bet on the first two will be
1. Rossi - If anything his proven more than ever that he is fast on worn tires
2. Pedrosa - In the zone and very smoth and high corner speed.

For 3rd I have no idea. Most probably a Bridgestone rider. Depends on Capirossis condition amongst others.

Capriex handles cooked 'stones like no other, you could be right. A lot will depend on his physical health I guess.

And Checa 7, thanks for the insight. Mark my words, Ooost, this is the weekend that the Green Mean Speed Machine does his "lap everybody on the way to a win" stunt
