I really wonder who made this a story. There is nothing in it. Sounds like a bit of public posturing (and I don't mean by Yamaha). What do you think Lex?

Crutchlow should do it....he is not really fighting for anything in WSBK at this point and it might be the only time he ever gets on a factory MotoGP bike (and it being Rossi's bike with JB in the garage is a really sweet touch!!!)

Plus it will give us an idea of how he might stack up in the big league......Spies did very well last year at Valencia placing well and helping Edwards take 5th overall. Will Crutchlow be able to aid Spies in a 5th overall finish for the season??

Well he certainly did not follow in pieman's footsteps in sbk. Imola was also no great performance. I've said it already somewhere else - this has nothing to do with his ability (or lack of) to win, but is pure national flag/ passport based selection to pander to UK motogp fans

Would he be given Spies bike with Fiat stickers, and Spies would get Rossi's bike with Monster stickers and the new fresh, more powerful engines.

That sounds a little more likely, however JB probably wouldn't prepare a satelite spec machine, and nor should he. I believe it will be last we may see of vr this Season at Motegi

I think Rossi will uncork (max power and speed) his 2 fresh engines for the next 3 rounds and try to 1) get a couple more wins to save his season and 2) keep points away from Pedrosa since Lorenzo will need to nurse the last 5 rounds home.

Rossi will then have surgery and Crutchlow will take the last 2 rounds to get he feet wet for next year.

I think Sterligarda will not be pleased.

I wish Rossi would go for surgery now so Hayes can replace Crutchlow.

Uhm, i see u post often so i assume uv read that hes been offered the opportunity 2 other times. This would b the 3rd time. Its beginning to b quite the story. GP Yamaha offers a wildcard, Crutchlow turns it down and so on. Honestly i want to like the guy but this turning down of rides is a bit maddening. I think most agree its a soft promotion to GP, so if Dorna is so desperate for a Brit, i know a good one from WSBK who just got released from his contract. Hes probably willing to ride a wildcard if given the chance.

You reckon BMW would allow Haslam to ride a Yamaha.

You can't really critisize Cal's decision to not run the motogp races previously offered to him since he got the full time ride for next year. Wise decision

I'll believe it when I say it. He's said he has no interest in his first outing on a new bike, tires, brakes etc. to be held on a race weekend. This was said no more than a week ago.

Cal would'nt be on Rossi's bike. That makes no sense.

According to MCN interview with Cal, Spies would go onto Rossi's bike and he would be on Spies Tech3 M1.

Which is surely what we all new already ??

He talks about Spies not classed as rookie anymore because of his time in Gp, and that enables him to ride Rossi's bike. I would think he would be classed as a rookie though, until his first season is over.

Who knows.

I'm obviously missing something

c'mon factory have u not been payin attention to whats been goin on this season?..... rossi would want to take the points from jorge not dani. i see him doin a eslick on ole jorge as many times as he could whenever he could. for those that don't know who danny eslick is let's just say rossi would be alot better & more subtle about it.... kinda like jerez 04
