Crutchlow about to bolt Moto GP

i dont get it

how much money does he get? how much he wants?

he says he wants a chance to win, a factory bike, but even dovi that has 5 podiums got the last one.. cal should first of all beat his teammate then demand any factory rides....

ok, if the money is that much more in sbk, i dont know and i dont think so.. if it is like that, then for sure its better for him to go

but i dont think any motogp rider is not getting -very- well paid......

maybe lorenzo and stoner and rossi can cruise in limos.. but they are the best, so, you cant expect the same amount of money as they do, as long as you dont get the results

Wtf has this limey .... done to make demands?

The days of riders earning seven or eight figures is long gone. Theres only a handful (you can guess who they are) that earn that amount now. I'd imagine Cal is on £500'000 at most. Theres a similar issue in F1 these days with pay drivers. When you reach this level of competition the thought of rider having to fund their own career is ridiculous. All in all not a good look for MotoGP.

Guys, the pinnacle of any sport should pay big money. You cant ride for peanuts then be thrown to the scrap heap at 30 years old. You have to set yourself up for life in basically 5 years. They may love to race, but make no mistake, at some point you have to start thinking about the rest of your life. Should a top 10 motorcycle racer in the world be forced to work menial jobs just to survive after he is forced to retire. .... that. This is professional sport at its highest level. Maybe Cal will start a revolt.

Im guessing 2-250,000 Euro's. I said Dovey left a better situation than he is headed to, but he has to make bank at this point in his career. Would you rather run 5th at 200k, or 7th at 2 million.

The death of MotoGP is upon us LOL. So, I guess it will be reduced to Rossi vs. Lorenzo next year. Ok season 2013 over already. Time to pack everyone up and Move to SBK.

I hope Dovi has a results based bonus in place. He'd be doing very well right now!

I can't remember where I read/heard Cal say this, but he pointed that he would have made alot more cash in the SBK paddock had he stayed, and that he stepped up to GP for the competition, not the cash. In which case, him not getting himself on the equipment needed to win would suggest its time to take a step back, start winning and start earning. Its not like his time in GP has harmed his reputation as a rider.

Just shows what a two or even three tier sport Dorna are running.

The trouble is now days teams expect the riders to bring the sponsors with them and that's why less deserving riders get the pay and factory rides. It should be down to the Teams and dorna to get sponsors not the riders. Riders should get rides based on there tallent not what sponsors they can bring to a team. Motogp has been mis-managed for a long time.

Good man, Rossi has done .... all for two years and made millions,Cal busts his balls and earns .... all in comparison,if you dont get the tools and the cash go back to WSB and give Moto .... pig the elbow.

Cal has done nothing to date in motogp. He has been beaten by his teammate. If his teammate who can't win races can beat him, why would he be high on the factories' priority lists when their goal amongst others, is to win races.

He should go to Superbike and at least then make some money for himself.

Agree, you have handful of people raking in all the cash in GP. Riders ride, and should be judged on that to determine seats. The rest should be covered by the teams and Dorna

The Motogp paddock is looking more and more like a microcosm of the state of the european economy.

Having said what I have, the sport doesn't pay enough to keep the lower riders in. Doesn't allow Cal to make demands however.

its a mess ffs and has been a while

fook haven't Cal and Dovi had to buy there own upgrade front callipers this year for tech3 as well
