Thank you for your nice words :)

As per what I said tho, it's "based on experience" as I have attended several forums, even co-owned one in the past, but never found a place as chilled as this. I'd say a good 90% of the people in here all feel like a pleasant-bike-chat-with-a-beer that I could have at the bar with my mates.

As per Valentino.....like or dislike the guy, that's up to the individial, I have no problem admitting that I'm not a fan, but he's obviosly a legend of this sport. It is also rude to be mean to elderly people, so I am limiting my jokes about him :D

Wow! If this is chill, the others must be total war zones. Tho it’s on an even keel presently. Hoping it holds good for a while.

As someone 5 years Rossi’s senior, I resemble that remark.

I have been, am, and always will be a VR fan. Having met him twice, I can say he is a down to earth guy who has, in the past, made himself very accessible to the fans. There can also be no doubt he puts on one hell of a show when he is on his game. That being said, I am also a MM fan and a JLo fan. I’ve rooted for Nicky Hayden from his time in the AMA until his death. He’ll, I was a Biaggi fan back in the day. Lol. What these men do on the track is just phenomenal. I would kill for just a percentage of their talent.

The underlined is what is ALL about.

As per Rossi, I was clearly joking above, sport-wise I have a mad respect for the guy. The main reason why I don't root for him too much is that I didn't like how he treated some of his rivals throughout his career, but that's a boring topic on any forum as it got talked about so much :D

I do however have to admit that a lot of people belonging to his fan base are jerks. If you live in Italy and enjoy motorbikes, this is something extremely easy to witness first hand.

Not all are bad of course. My old man is a hardcore Rossi fan and he's my favorite person to watch races with, so....

I don't know much about you, but stating to be a Rossi fan, an MM and a JLO fan in the same post tells me enough to understand that you are a genuine fan of this sport :)

Maybe I can't get some shades of the "fights" due to english not being my 1st language? :D

Nah, this place is chill. We all come to forums to chill, so anyone that types in here kinda enjoys the place right :D

Of course there might be exceptions...but every village needs its .....

The 2019 RCV they tested today looks positively evil.
Everyone else should just pack up and go home now.

I hate to say this but I think last season isn't enough to fully consider Dovi a REAL top rider. This should be his "confirmation" season (does this expression exist? I made a rough literal translation from Italian :D) but is not going too well so far.

Jorge, despite all the .... that has been said about it, is the only rider who was able to win a title in the Marquez era.

If Jorge will keep winning and Dovi will not be as good as 2017 that's ok. On paper is expectable.

It would freak everyone at Ducati out for sure, but as I don't work there....:D

Everybody has different parameters which they judge greatness. Anyone who can on multiple occasions duelled with MM is great in my book; especially on a bike that still doesn’t turn as well as the Jap bikes.

The expression makes perfect sense buddy. You and all the other non-first language English speakers never cease to amaze me with your command of the language.

It’s great to have a rational minded admirer of Rossi - who is above all a fan of racing. Was a time J4rno was the only one here. A rare breed around these parts.

We’ve got our quota. When you meet them - buckle your seatbelt. :p

"It's never my fault"

what a huge disappointment this kid has been
I believe you can find a post from me suggesting that MV was WAY over hyped. My current pick is Joan Mir as the next big nothing to pollute MotoGP.

JLo changed his style to make this bike work for him. He never got loose with the rear swapping about on the Yamaha. Kudos to him, like Rossi, for adapting. Ducati has proved, exactly what Stoner claimed. They don't listen to the damn rider. Otherwise, Lorenzo would have had a correct tank, LAST year, when some of us were waiting for his skill to show on the Italian machine and give everyone headaches.

I would prefer MM vs JL on separate machines. But it is what it is. I just want one of them to break VR's championship record, so Rossi's grip on the series is relaxed.

I disagree. Rossi failing to win on the Ducati and leaving is what finally made Ducati realize they needed to change the way they managed the team and they brought it a critical piece with Gigi. When Gigi arrived he said Ducati was operating very poorly... they was a severe lack of communication between the GP team and the factory so development suffered. There was never anything Rossi/burgess or Lorenzo could've done to turn things around for Ducati until after Gigi streamlined things. Had Stoner stayed with Ducati it would've only furthered delayed Ducati looking at themselves for corrections.
I think we might agree not sure. I'm aware of Gigi's influence, what I was trying to say was under him development would have been quicker with Lorenzo or Rossi as opposed to Dovi.
Also what I said earlier about the dna of the current bike isn't quite correct as I remember they are now using the frame with higher lateral flex (built for Lorenzo).

Brilliant race and congratulations to Jorge. As suspected Marc did not risk any more points and rode smart. I’m very impressed with his ability to make that hard compound work so well. Another solid race for Valentino considering the current package and pace Yamaha has which is poop but he did the best he could. Dovi hit a rough patch but I don’t think his issue is psychological like many suggested, I think he was just pushing too hard and made a mistake....simple as that. Cal did good too! Very entertaining races in all three classes!

Honda also said that they will be following the 2 riders with 2 completely separated development roads, as their riding styles are so different and as Honda has both the money and the people to be able to do so.

I have a feeling 2019 will be a good year to HRC fans.

Sure. 2017 was an insane year for Dovi.

By "REAL top rider" I mean a guy that can hypothetically aim to a win at every race, for more than one season. I'm not saying Dovi is not that kind of guy, but I'm saying it still has to be proven, IMHO.

His responsabilities raised as he is now leader of the Ducati team, who is investing and will invest a lot on him.

Let's see :)

I believe it will be phenomenal.

I am hopeful, although it may take some time as others have said.

A few things.

Honda want their bike to be the winning bike, at the moment it is mainly perceived as MM winning, and their bikes are not in demand for satellite teams/by satellite riders; the latter in particular I suspect doesn’t best please them.

MM may eventually leave. I think he may go for the 8 titles first, but I do see him leaving eventually.

If Jorge can win 3 world championships on a Yamaha and 50 odd premier class races (including two thus far on a Ducati) on non-Hondas, doesn’t look good for Honda if he flounders on a Honda.

I have just bought a Honda Civic type R car at least, in solidarity with Jorge.
