Good question Jumkie and it allows us to get away from some of the usual bleatings that seem ever so regular at the moment.

IMO, we are to early in the season for team orders but logic would suggest that Hayden is not going to beat CS in the WC this year so what is there to be gained by his taking points from CS?

Like you, I suspect that unless Hayden can take points off the other contenders (Rossi/Lorenzo and a lesser degree in Pedrosa) than he should ride shotgun. That said, I am not sure that CS would want that either (queue usual bleating about Barros' allegedly being told never to beat the factory Ducati again) so he may possibly wave him through.

My expectation of my reading would be that Hayden would hate to pass CS and take point off him, seriously hate doing it and that he would battle with himself a bit before he did so. But that only applies to a situation where he has caught and hast he ability to pass as were he to be in front anyway then he should not slow down to allow CS to play catch.

I think you're thinkin' about Qatar this year. As someone here remarked, racing at night seems to screw up Pedrobot's navigational circuitry
