did you also loose respect for biaggi,it takes 2 to tango. after all none of us no exactly what went on or what was said, but from what i saw and heard about biaggi he had it comming, rossi wasnt the only bloke in the paddock to have a go at the nob.

Well yes i of course lost respect for him equally, except my respect started lower for him. But i don't believe for a second he "had it coming". I am not violent so i believe you cannot ever justify starting a fight.

lets imagine a Moto GP where there was no ".... talking" or intimidation, where all riders and crews got along, were best friends, openned doors for each other, held hands and sang KUM BA YA....
.... THAT!.......i wanna see a fist fight in the paddock!

yeah i stayed on his bike ok but doesnt seem to win many races,
do you grade a rider on his crashes or his wins, rossi did more of both than nicky last year.

You know as well as i do that its not as simple as either of these. But if you really need a simple way to grade riders, i would check the championship standings

I am still shocked at a lot of Rossi fans willingness to try and remove any credit for haydens title, or more importantly, trying to remove blame from Rossi. Rossi got out ridden, it was not the only thing contributing to his loss, but it was a factor as strong as any other.

Go the Mindless Cheerleaders, were so proud of you, aint we Rog! And Tom, I'm sure jumkie is proud of you too....
Pete
Haha, well it looks like Tom managed to get Rog in the game. Way to go Tommy.

Sorry for the "delay" on chimming in but here in the US we have to wait two damn days before we get to see WSBK, so I had to stay away from the site, less the results are given away. But I see all things are normal. The cheerleaders are in full swing. Even though I have enjoyed the thread, it ain't like the old days eh Pete? I mean, lets take off the kiddy gloves people.

yes i agree tom.
rossi 7 world titles
nick 1 world title
dont get me wrong tom, i think nicky is a world class rider and im not taking anything from him,he played the season right and got the prize, but sorry mate it doesnt matter how you try and put spin on it,he just aint in the same league as the doctor, not yet.!

Can i direct you to my earlier post where i mentioned that if we are talking career wide judgement then of course Rossi is the best, but i went on to mention that in the 2006 season, rossi got outridden by Hayden, lets not take anything away from Hayden afterall

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (news1213 @ Feb 28 2007, 05:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I agree..I just worry when people get too cocky or confident (i.e. talk too much ....) and jynx themselves..

I'd agree with that, I'm suprised by Jerry's quotes. So according to him he has the best rider, with the best bike that will work at any track AND the competition/current champion isn't worthy. With a rider like Rossi you'd think he'd shut the F up and manage the team maybe alittle better than he did last year. If Rossi wants to talk smack I'm all for it but show me a "coach" that does it and he is setting himself up for possibly a big downfall.

yes and as i said i agree, but i think this was the very point burgess was making,i think he was talking about the better rider generaly and i agreed with him and by your above comment so do you.

Well i'm pretty sure Burgess was refering to last year, more than he was overall rider judgementm aybe he ment it both ways. But perhaps thats my misjudgement of the quote, afterall i don't understant australian

On the otherhand, it could be his was of saying he and the team were responsible for Rossi not winning, and he feels that had they got it sorted rossi woulda won. Its so easy to interpret things however you want to.

yes mate, that was the way i took it as you can see in my earler post, i think some people jumped to the offensive and mistook what he said and what they thought he ment. eather way he should have been clearer or quiter imo.

i agree, even if he didnt mean much by it, talk like that can get badly reported. Did you happen to see an article on the eurosport website recently where they have quoted biaggi completely out of context as saying motogp is a "waste of time". Trying to stir up oldskool biaggi style ...., but i don't think its gonna work.

no i havent,i will look out for it, its sad when jurnos have to stoop to those depths, a lot of the rossi, gibbers saga was blown out of preportion by the media by all accounts,i just hope biaggi will keep his head down his nose clean and ride his ... off this year and be above the idiots trying to wind him up to sell there rags.

Check it out, i hope biaggi just ignores stuff like this.
Superbike newcomer Max Biaggi has launched an amazing attack on motorcycling's blue riband championship, saying he wasted his time in MotoGP. The Italian won on his World SBK debut in Losail on Saturday, and said he wished he had comer to the series sooner.

yes they are twisting what he is saying here. he says "he wasted his time" which he did because he didnt realise his dream of being the champ. i really cant see how this is an attack on motogp. it just sounds like he is critisising himselfe for not looking elsewhere for a new chalenge.
shame on you eurosport.

He was trying to express how happy he is to be in the WSB paddock and they are trying to twist it into some sort of fight. Stuff like that annoys me.

. Personally I think sometimes it takes good old fashioned hatred to motivate you to greater heights.

I am not Hayden fan, in fact I have never really liked him even when he was in AMA. You have to give him his due for winning the championship, no matter how many races he won or how many chances he did not take. The history book will not have an asterisk after 2006 because everyone else had a crap season. He is the champ.........Until Rossi takes the title back.
