Matt Birt of MCN just announced on twitter that Rossi's crew will be going to Ducati. I saw him talking to Lin Jarvis as we were waiting for Rossi to speak, so it's probably true.

Rossi to Ducati, you say? Well that one came out of the blue!

Just having a larf - thanks for the news as I was genuinely curious as to JB's future.

Thanks for that, brain fart, I'm afraid. I did mean Rossi's current crew, including JB. I've edited my other post to stop myself from looking stupid. Not that that's easy ...

Ty

Dave seen the tweet.

Q whats the score with this. ??? hmm

Some interesting stuff coming out of the Safety Commission. More later on here and superbikeplanet.com < Jules tweet

If you watched the Aussie broadcast of the GP right after Misano, Burgess clearly stated that "he would see the Rider out to the end of his career [regardless of factory]".

If you follow Briggs on twitter, you would know all the mechanics feel the same.

You're welcome. I can always be relied upon to point out the tiniest of flaws in a post - especially after a bottle or two of cheap plonk.

Seriously though, I welcome your posts on this forum as it's great to have an insider's POV on the circus. It makes the regular press - your own fine site included - seem sterile by comparison.

A bunch of interesting stuff. Going to work on a story myself. Basically, everyone agrees with Stoner that we need grass, or something very slippery, rather than astroturf. Not that it is going to happen, but the riders all agreed on something.

Kropo, thanks for the insider news. Appreciate it.

Burgess to Ducati, I can't really say I'm surprised, the surprise would have been him going to serve somebody else.

and even bigger suprise would be Burgess riding the Ducati next year and Rossi running the crew!!

I expect (as do most people) that Burgess will go with Rossi

Thanks Krop, seems like there is no easy solution, and as Rossi said Showa lost it on the Asphalt so there was no stopping it.

Great to see the band stayed together, Yamaha have lost a lot of talent now........I'm sure most really want to see if JB and VR can work their magic with the Duck.

As I've said all along though-the thing isn't that bad. A few tweaks and its on Pole and the second row. This confirms VR as favorite next year IMO.

Still hasn't hit the news stands in the fashion it should, so I remain patient. To me the fact that its not plastered all over the web sites suggests retirement is the the more likely option.

Just had this confirmed to me by two different members of the Yamaha organization, independently of each other. The crew themselves are keeping schtum, but everyone else with a Yamaha shirt says they're off.

I think it's more that they are used to not talking about it, and unused to all of the publicity the new media era brings along.

They had Alex Briggs on ONE here last night and he still gave away nothing to Parrish, even though Parrish always tries. But he did sound like it was all still very much a big unknown.

I was thinking they'd go with VR to Ducati when Alex gave away one of his yamaha crew shirt in a contest on twitter. I was thinking at that time may be he's starting to "clear the closet"

ha JB

And you're dealing with Valentino Rossi. You're not dealing with somebody you're not sure of. What I said to Yamaha when I came here, I said, 'I can't fix your bike, but if you listen to Valentino Rossi, we'll go forward. Ignore him at your peril.' And it's the same deal here at Ducati. They spent the money to get him. If you don't want to listen to him, well why did you spend the money?"
