Check out that lean angle from JLo.....scary thing is he never seems to be going that fast. He makes it look all too easy.

Dani had similar lean in that corner, but that was the exact momemt when he slightly stood Pedrosa up when making the pass. But yes, those lean angles are ridiculous

I reckon a lot of that criticism is guilt by association.....Darth Puig as overlord = Pedrosa is a prick. Which to me seems quite unfair. His on track riding is exemplary barring Losail 2006....which was a major brain fart, but surely people can forgive this one major indiscretion after so many years - especially seeing how it didnt lose Hayden the championship.

He doesnt make a habit of bagging his competitors and usually gives credit when its due to riders who beat him and he is also very courageous and has demonstrated that many times. Personally I think he is in general a pretty good guy, but being introverted he comes in for a lot of flak by some sections of the fan base who deem this to be a weakness.

Those that say he has not performed in the last 7 years are being hyper critical......with around 60 odd podiums in the top class he is definitely top tier and thoroughly deserves his factory ride. You cant blame him for a lack of competitive rides in MGP.

WTF?? are you serious??? He has never had anything other than the Factory Honda since joining motogp. Are you saying thats not a competitive bike?

He is not Stoner, he is not Lorenzo, probably not Rossi, but he is one of the most successful Moto GP riders EVER. He has more wins than some of the biggest names in the sports history, and is sitting one win away from Sheene. Will probably pass Rainy and Schwantz in wins before he is done. A title would be nice, but he is one of the top 4 riders in the world, of course he deserves a factory seat.

No you misunderstood....I am saying there are only a few bikes that you can compete for a title on and he cant be blamed for that fact.....If you dont have a factory RCV or M1 you are screwed when it comes to being on the podium and he definitely deserves his ride.

I must have mis-understood mate because i agree 100% with the above post.

I think he was saying you can't blame Pedrosa for the factories not offering enough competitive bikes.. but i see how you could think it meant he wasn't on a competitive bike or something..

as for that pic pov posted.. wowzers..

and like someone else said.. lorenzo makes it look so easy, i really wonder what clicked between his rookie year with all those crashes and the way he rides now.. he definitely found where the limit is.. now he'll run wide when he pushes it instead of get bucked off and fly 20 meters.. i expected he'd do really well with how he dominated for a few seasons in 250cc, but the kid is something else these days..

Spies is better than he is looking at the moment because of one thing or another but i never believed he would set the world on fire.

You are right....though many on this forum believed and talked up Spies like would set the the world on fire.....and it hasn't happened...

I think we are all in agreement that Ben belongs in GP. Not everyone is going to win a championship. Currently there are 3 people in GP that can win a championship. If we follow Migs logic everyone else should be out of GP. Do I have that summed up pretty good MIgs?

If a rider fails to win consistently in a Factory GPs or to be in top 4 or 5 then they should be out of GPs, or at least out of the factory team.....This goes for all riders of all nationalities....

If we can weed out the rider that only ride for the money then we can get new blood in to GPs.....and maybe so more exciting racing....

Are there any riders in other series that should get a proper shot at GPs but cant cause 'has beens' or 'Salary' riders are taking up all the good seats?

Off you go Rossi, you has been.

I dont disagree...i am a fan but he hasnt produced for 2 years, so he should be moving on....WSBK (AKA retirement league) is calling out to him....along with Hayden and RDP...

I see what your saying but as we all know, not all factory rides are capable of top results regardless of the riders talent. If your idea was put into place where would that put new factorys entering the sport? Would the same rules apply to suzuki if they re-entered as with HRC and yam? As for writing rossi off as a has been. I think i will wait until the end of next season before making that judgement.
