I think i expected him to be very much the man from the start this year after how he ended last year, but it hasn't worked out that way yet.

And here Ladies and Gentlemen, we have the greatest armchair critic in the world in his ideal environment.

So what exactly do you think is the reason for Leons results, bad "luck"??? i'm not being harsh, after all i am a Haslam fan, i just believe the rider is accountable for his results particularly when a rider with identical equipment and team is winning so well.

And the other rider in the team is an ex-world superbike veteran, and a previous title winner means nothing?

His results are down to him not performing, but I'm not as blunt and harsh as you are about it. I have respect for how hard these guys work, for you it seems as though 'they're .... and i could do better'.

I didn't say he was .... or that i could do better. I said my expectations were high because Leon was the force at the end of last season and afterall i am a fan. I think these things happen and i still believe that sooner or later he will find that little bit extra he needs.

lavilla romped away for the first few rounds last year and look what happened to him - i'm sure Leon will get his eye in soon but I too expected him to be on the podium right from the off.

That was terrible, especially as i think Podiums were on the cards! It hurt me extra as a Haslam fan. But at least he had better pace this weekend. Walker looked better also, but still not smooth enough on the bike. I think Lavilla is too good for the series and should be in the world championship, but i guess its our gain to have him here.

yeah - i'm not a big lavilla fan but he's certainly a class act. sometimes he just looks un-stoppable - like at brands. he had a huge lead - pace car comes out and brings everyone back together and then as soon as the pace car pulls off - greg just rides off onto the sunset.

while BSB may be competitive it shows just how big the jump to WSB would be for some

Oh yeah, the riding in world superbikes is still a pretty big jump from BSB, even at the top. But the riders who have what it takes can raise their game to the required level and those who can't end up back here like Stalker.

One things for sure, the BSB - motogp jump is way too big, and i think it ruined shakey byrne. I think he could have been very very succesful in WSBK if he'd gone that route.

Yeah Stobart team must be pretty pissed off, I mean they were on for podiums really. Never mind. I did actually go up to Silverstone on Saturday and went down the paddock, but Silverstone is quite frankly the most boring circuit for spectators. But I did see Leon Haslam showing off his war wounds. Chris went on Sunday but came home before the first race finished lol. He got bored and wandered off once Shakey hit the dust again and it started spitting with rain so he was worried about his bike lol.

Great day at Silverstone yesterday. We sat at Luffield for both races and had a great view of Byrne coming in too hot and tagging Haslam, we also saw Camier's slide and it was a shame to see him off. Great day for Kiyo though. Did he do the double there last year too, I'm sure he won at least one in 2006?

I finally had a go on the mini motos and they're quite uncomfortable. I couldn't rest my feet high enough either so whenever I tipped into corners my shoes were scraping the floor, no knee down action but plenty of shoe down action!

I'd have to agree with you there, Liz. Along perhaps with Snetterton. I went to Silverstone last year and felt that it's saving grace was the free grandstands but viewing is very restricted and it's not a patch on Brands.

I, too, was gutted when Shakey tumbled in both races. But all credit to both Kiyo and Greg for their results. BSB still seems to lead the way in the world for domestic racing.

Bring on Oulton!

Oh I quite like Snetterton in it's own quaint way lol. But I've only been once and I won't be rushing back it's a bit of an arse to get to. The only saving grace with Silverstone is that it's about 5 miles away from my house so you can go in and out of the circuit and go home and back if you get bored lol. I'll probably go to WSB when they land there.

Would like to go to Cadwell, but again a bit too far. lol

Seeing the bikes tear through the woods at Cadwell is like nothing i have seen before, truly great stuff.

I definitely recommend you see BSB there once, even if its a practice day.
