British Superbikes

I blagged my way into the pits - or the back of them anyway.

watched race two from the in-field so had a great view of them coming down paddock hill/druids/graham hill bend

hung around after race 2 and got to meet a few of the riders (Rea/Crutchlow/Walker/Kiyo)

did you see the end to the 125's ? HOW CLOSE !!!!!

I hope Kiyo can mount a challenge but he doesnt look like he has the pace this year, he may even get beaten by Rea by the looks of things, which shouldn't go down too well with Honda Japan I wouldn't think.

erm, lets not get carried away after just one round. ANYTHINg can still happen and i doubt the entire year will look like this weekend did.

It was the first time we've ever been to BH and I can safely say that I (yes me) chose the best spot (or so more experienced spectators said). We were right next to the incident that caused the safety car in race 2 (Lavilla nearlly ran him over!) but what happened to cause the red flag?

The best place to watch is debatable. I guess it comes down to what you want to be able to see. The hairpin is pretty though.

Paddock isn't that great to watch bikes at, there are better views. But it is the best part of the circuit for car racing i think. But like you said, it just has to be seen.

As for the racing, i thought it was great, especially race two. Lavilla was obviously better than everyone this weekend and i was thoroughly impressed. I love seeing the youngsters and the experienced hands mixing it up like they did, the field is pretty strong this year. I found myself wanting chris walker to lose though. I've never been much of a fan of his but i was surprised at how much i prefered allmost all the other riders to do well over him. Leon camier did extremely well, but i expect HM plan Honda and Airwaves Ducati to feature in most podiums this season, they really are the big hitting teams.

Well at least 30% of the track was visible from there, including the start

the best place to see the racing............................ is at home on TV.

you're not going to see that much of the track from any point at any track BUT;

you can't smell the Shell R at home

i'm a handsome devil am i not !

i had a black rugby shirt on with #9 on the back and un-surprisingly a skin head (and a big fat belly).

I was in a box (the end one) over looking the main straight for quite a bit - just to the left of where you said you were going to be sitting

the rest of the time i was in the paddock behind the garages or wandering around checking out the chicks
<

what i saw was a bald man with a black walker shirt on with #9 on the back, and sunglasses and brown shorts walking by the shops behind those boxes on the main straight...so did i see you? or was it someone very similar?

What an excellent pair of races!!! Some of the slides that Shakey and Rea were pulling out the fast sections where just out of this world (rea's tire agrees) and the racing was exciting. Lavilla is too damn good for this series and i want the others to get on terms with him soon, particularly Leon Haslam who has no excuse and so far has been disapointing this season.

Race two got really hot at the end although i don't think the pace car was actually needed (but safetey must come first). Leon Camier continues to impress me, beating the other rookies who i actually expected more from. Walker is still not doing what i feel he should but maybe it'll take him a few rounds to get into the British groove. Good stuff all round though.

Race 2 restart was a piss-take.

Rea was dawdling and Lavilla was into the distance from the flag, he could have won had he not been sleeping at the restart.

+1

He should have been up Greg's ... waiting for the car to go in, elementary mistake...........I'm sure I seen Kiyo giving him the nod to close the gap??

ehem
he's suffereing from tyre trouble aswell as many other technical problems.

dont be so harsh on him

pfft, tire trouble means HE isnt concerving his tires properley, Lavilla seems to be ok!! I think i expected him to be very much the man from the start this year after how he ended last year, but it hasn't worked out that way yet.
