I think the lad although talented does not have the drive and determination that Cal has.Needs another year in Moto2.For and against ?

no way should he be on the motogp bike next year

i like the kid but no

lets see what Ezpeleta sorts out

Smith should be behind Redding in the pecking order. Admittedly, my ignorant and uninformed opinion.

I dont think elias agrees with you atm.

Put Smith on a crt if he must come now. Its an insult to so many riders to give him that seat. $$ over talent in motogp everytime.

Bradly is good, but I think it would do him a great service to hang back one more year. It will give him a better chance at keeping his confidence up and have that experience he needs.

He hasn't won a moto2 race. How can he even think of wasting a GP ride. Tech3 have performance clauses.

He'll be doing well to keep the tech3 Moto2 ride.

Yep thats about right.

I don't think he deserves a gp ride quite yet. Sure, the tech3 moto2 effort isnt doing well at all, but he needs to step it up. I was listening to motopodcast and apparently one of the listeners was getting an autograph from him and as soon as he mentioned the gp ride to him and what his plans are next year, smith stormed off. Perhaps he knows already that its not going to happen?

If I was Smith, I'd have lawyers on it forcing Tech3 to give him that ride. Sure, most us don't think he is quite ready or deserving for the promotion, but that is irrelevant. If Tech3 were stupid enough to sign the kid a year removed, then he should force their hand. Dovi did the same thing with HRC when they wanted to screw him out of conract. Then said FU to Honda the following year. Now look at him, in the middle of discussions for a Yamaha factory seat and getting multiple offers from other factories. Same with Crutchlow, not quite deserving of a MotoGP promotion on the face of it (Arrabi might disagree), but then what happened? A revelation this year, and again in the middle of discussion for a Yamaha seat and substantial offer by factory Ducati over a GP champion. So if I had B.Smith ear, I would say, .... yeah, spend you money on lawyers and get them to honor their contract (assuming there was no performance clauses and ....). Get him to a MotoGP seat and see how he does. It doesn't matter who we think is "deserving" of a MGP seat.
