Ducati wouldn't have the funds to run Stoner, Melandri & Rossi on a 3 bike team unless they are planning on running solar powered scooters in 2009?

The offer of a third bike for Capirossi was just a token empty offer meant to be refused. It was never real - it was never meant to be a bike with serious factory support. Ducati can run 2 factory bikes, no more.

Oh Lord, finally the thread I had been looking for; unfortunate a bit too late. Wow, this was a great thread. The Rossi apologists lined up neatly in support of his preferential treatment and the detractors successful exposed this ill-conceived logic as detrimental to the integrity of the sport. Damn, I missed a good one while I was away.

For those of you who may not have known, I was out a few months from the forum. It’s taking me a while to catch up, reading past threads until the early morning hours. I had been tied up on a few recent threads regarding this Rossi-Bridgestone debate, but it seems this was the jackpot. Unfortunately, I think I have methodically and systematically dispelled every remnant of logic in support of Rossi’s privileged and exclusive treatment by the governing body that is Dorna.

If you are interested, just click on the following threads:

Rossi-Bridgestone debate 1 (several posts)

Rossi-Bridgestone debate 2 (one comprehensive post)

….I think I was rather comprehensive in addressing all of the aspects and elements of the debate. Notwithstanding, after reading this thread, it seems we had much more eloquent proponents of sound discussion here. Perhaps had I read this one, all I would have had to do is quote them (you know who you are) and be done with it.
