For mine it would be Max as I rate him as one of the more talented riders I have seen on a two-stroke but unfortunately for him he was up against some pretty damn good opposition.

Mamola would be there for sure.

bloody good 250 rider no doubt but didn't really shine on the 500 or the wcm, ok not the most competitive of bikes on the grid but not even in the same league as others mentioned in this thread imo.

That's what I'm talkin' about, Pardner! Just check my all time favorite rider! Uh Huh!

Not only is RAndy one of the VERY best...

Many folks talk about what a nice person Nicky is...

Mr. Mamola is one of the nicest guys ever to walk this planet. I saw him race many, many times when I was stationed in Europe back in the day. And he never failed to have a moment for a fan...even the likes of me!!!

Randy Mamola has to be the main contender for this, 13 wins and 57 podiums is a very respectable total, and yet he never won a world title.

In World Superbikes, Nori definitely should have won a world title when you look at his record. He was unlucky in 02 and last year, and probably should have won both. Vermuelen is also a bit lucky not to have won a wsb championship too.

I can't think of any more off the top of my head.
