Its a move in the right direction for UK viewers, still no 15's or 250's!

I wont forgive the BBC for cutting a race last year (forget which one) with 5 laps to go for a rugby repeat

Suzi Perry will be presenting the BBC's 2006 MotoGP coverage
BBC Sport is bringing you coverage of every MotoGP race in 2006.

It looks set to be a thrilling season, with five-time champion Valentino Rossi set to be challenged by a host of exciting and talented riders.

The TV team continues as last year - Suzi Perry will be presenting the action, while Steve Parrish and Charlie Cox will be in the commentary box.

But there is a new member of the team in Matt Roberts, who will be the BBC's pit lane reporter.

A selection of Saturday's qualifying sessions will be viewable on BBC Interactive (via your red button) and after certain races MotoGP Extra will show interviews and highlights.

If you have any questions about Grandstand's coverage of the MotoGP season get in touch by using the email form at the bottom of the page.

Notice that the extra coverage isonly on interactive though!

I wonder why the BBC would have cut a race last year? The new wet weather rules should have meant that didn't happen. The last time rain held up proceedings was in 2003. The only time I watch BBC is on the Eurosport Commercial. I really don't think Steve Parrish is much of a commentator. I'm fortunate to have Eurosport but Ryder, Moody and Mamola are way more passionate and knowledgeable than the BBC team. Eurosport is the way forward.

they cut it cos they showed a highlights program of a rugby game that had been played a couple of nights before. i remember it well cos i wrote an email to them to complain and they replied saying it was because in our region rugby is a very popular sport and people wanted to see it. i wrote back saying if people were so interested in the game they would have either watched it already and/or known the result and it was a highlights show and not live. to cut a live race short for highlights was a joke as they could have shown them afetrwards!

got a reply from the head of BBC sport who agreed with me! they apologised and said it wouldnt happen again

Skidmark - I completely agree, Eurosport every time for me, they just don't generate the right atmosphere on the BBC. The Eurosport team are spot on, as annoying as ads are.

I distinctly remember a race being cut on BBC recently, but I'm in the south so doesn't sound like it was for the rubgy, hmmm, darn memory

Our guys suck, Dayrll Beattie's ok but the other guy, Greg Rust or somthing, he's an ...... I'm sure you guys saw Pedrosa putting his foot out on the inside of the last corner, presumably to shift the centre of gravity preparing for the corner. Anyway he did it every lap and on about the 20th lap that guy noticed and he said "Pedrosa's foot just slipped!"
