Bayliss wants back in Wsbk?

If this is serious, I can't see Ducati not taking him back, I hope they do. Troy and the Duc were perfect together. They'll find room for a third rider, I'm sure, esp if him.

If this is true I kind of want to see Spies stay in WSBK. Either way 2010 should be a cracking season.

now THATS what I call an Aussie! There's Goose and then there's Troy
<

Kickass, take names, bang the chick singer, walks off laughing chugging a beer, turns around and deals out another beating GO Bayliss!
<

.............. not a ..... like that other guy
<

It would be fantastic if Bayliss returned, and Haga v. Bayliss (both on Ducs?!?) might be something to behold. However, if Bayliss returned in '10 and Spies is gone to GPs, it would be a little disappointing not to see them face off.

Wtf r Ducati thinking? I would hav kicked Fabrizio to the curb and signed Bayliss at once.

I wonder if he will be on shakeys bike? They are supposed to lose their Sterilgarda sponsorship to Aprialia and Biaggi for the next year. I wonder, a sat team with major factory support? Can Ducati really let this happen by Bayliss having a great chance of winning the whole shebang again but not in factory colors? I think Ducati needs to suck it up and run a third bike or move a rider sideways to a factory supported Sat team. Fabi sorry buddy but you have to take one for the team.

Agree CK

When Moto GP used to go to the Jacarepagua circuit in Rio, Troy was walking off the Copacabana beach when some gangster pulled a knife on him and tried to mug him. Apparently he looked him in the eye and told him to get ...... - the assailant promptly did just that. I suppose he had a similar effect on most riders who tried to mug him on track!

Oh great, let the urban legends begin. As if his ontrack record wasn't already enough to make him a legend.

i guess car racin ain't cutting it for him... no surprise really. now if RC would consider the same thing.

That just made my day, I was laughing so hard my sides nearly burst!

Watching the sbk race this weekend, I heard one of the announcers saying that bayliss was seen talking to several different teams.

I am always amazed at how you know all these interesting stories about these riders. And I'm thankful for it.

I've met Bayliss, and if he told me to get ......, I would have done the same.

He really is a man's man. CK and I met Bayliss' dad at WSBK Utah, I think he was drunk while driving this golf cart when he stopped to talk and shoot the .... with a few crazy fans. He was very friendly and down to earth, so perhaps Troy is a chip off the old block.

A friend of mine who is a former racer (of which I get much allot of my info) told me a story that Bayliss started late in his life racing motorcycles. He said that when Bayliss first visited the track (before he started racing) he saw all these guys wrenching & adjusting on the bikes after every few laps. So he asked, "why do they keep wasting time fiddling with the bike, why don't they just ride the damn thing to get better?" Hahaha. And I believe it too.

Hated to see him leave at the top of his game, 2009 would have been even better with him around. I'm sure Ducati will do what they can to keep him, he is huge marketing for them, everyone loves him. Perhaps they can find some factory support money for the Sterilgara Ducati, and give him that ride?

This is true Jumkie. He has a DVD available about it, it can be bought on line from here: Troy's Story - The Troy Bayliss Story
It used to be available off his website.

It's a pretty good story and DVD, you don't necessarily need to be a fan to watch it either. But being a bike fan does help.
