Gee I was wondering when somebody would realise this!!

Go Curve!!

Eugenics, not such a bad idea after all.

Haslams know nothing,

Your words not mine ........ I have met a Haslam long ago and would not say such petty stupid crap.

here's another "unbelieveable" one for Arab ........ I have actually been on a race track with Ron Haslam ( I'm assuming it was Ron because I believe both Phil and Terry were dead at the time it would have been ........ and Ron was actually over here for the Castrol Six hour ........ can't remember if it was a practice day or a race though ..... may even have been a day on dirt??. )

Stick that in your pipe ......... Arab!!

Barry, did you race in the Castrol 6 hr.

Was that at Amaroo or Oran Pk.

What year did you race ??

no. But I was involved in the background in a minor role for a few years and I raced many of those guys in other codes.

That was during the Amaroo years. Amaroo being my local track back then.

Terribly dangerous track.

My old man turned himself inside out at amaroo, straight into a wall

No worries ........ forget the school you wally's !!! I'm way past that and Haslam has nothing to teach me.

If Arab was serious he would have taken up my idea of him coming out here and we have a ride.

When was that? I'd love to come and visit you Barry, in fact as you well know I suggested it before and you scorned the idea of a meet up. I'm sure I will return to Australia in due course because I love the country. You'll have to give me your address and I'd be pleased to come and see you. Would you be able to put me up for a few days?

Absolutely. In my teen years I was at (car) racing days there on an occasion when a spectator died and another when a competitor died. It being swallowed by sydney suburbia was probably no bad thing, and Oran Park which met a similar fate was on the dinky side as well. Warwick Farm is the track I miss.

Yes it was the most suicidal wall on any track I have been on, something about approaching a solid wall at a 90 deg. tight bend that scares me
<
but hey I think they put that there to stop folk hitting the small clifflike rock face instead
<
<
....... except maybe the bridge on Bilpin motocross track that was lined with corrugated iron

If you weren't such a ...... I'd be happy to do so Arab. but alas, you carry on like a ...... ...... then ask to meet me .......

get real!!!

I once raced on a track that used loose corrugated iron sheets as kerbs for the chicanes

I relived "old times" a little while ago by looking on google earth where all those old tracks were .......... one of the saddest track losses was Jilliby practice track ....... it was all natural terrain with the first decent tabletop here in Aust. You can just barely make out where it was on G.E. such a shame. Amaroo is all acreages now but a while ago you could still make out the track layout.

Warwick farm boy!! you are an old boy too!! I don't think I'd easily even find that anymore!

Oran yes .... I ran out of fuel behind there a little while back during its last few weeks of its life. Oran I remember as way out in the sticks, cos my uncle had a farm near there and they lived in "the sticks"

Do you remember Katoomba had a rallycross track? I think it even saw some motard racing?? not by me I was "breeding" by that stage.

You don't like it because I question what you say. Anyway, I thought you said you'd invited me out there and I turned it down? On the contrary, I'm accepting. PM me your address.

Thats just a way of keeping folk in the middle of the track!!

or did they hammer down the sharp edges?

Au contrare' I quite like it when you disagree. Makes me feel good. ie. if a ...... disagrees with me ....... I must be doing ok.

I wouldn't meet you within 20 km's of my home ...... not just cos you are a ...... ..... but I think you are a stalker too.

I would meet you , at a track somewhat near to me, to whoop your arse on a track though ....... within 50km ( for free ) Outside that ...... you pay.

If Arab was serious he would have taken up my idea of him coming out here and we have a ride.

Probably would cost him less too in the end, and he could even buy a bike with the saved money.

And it would be 1 to 3 partial days max. for me ........ which I could possibly do.

And we could get a mix of riding in.

Whatever. You keep changing your mind...

if I make it back to Oz again I will contact you and we'll see if you show. In the meantime my offer still stands..you don't pay

No mind change there ....... you just keep drinking, is what the real problem is
<

You better be un-booze-......, lucid, not a ......, not a stalker, not a toilet door or Hallmark cards poet/composer, or I don't want to know you. But I'd even more happily whoop yo arse I guess!!

Meh, i'm bored with this thread. Someone let me know if the all mouth no action bullshitter plucks up the courage to get off his sofa.
